MoonEnder 1 Posted June 29, 2013 hiya folks was daydreaming one day and thought of a character concept. it goes like this: main character fights an army hp goes to zero is he dead? nope but now his arm i broken thus he strength is halfed more negative later he loses an eye. then his leg is broken. his ribs crack and still he fights past dead and he still fights script summary: want to have the concept of negative hp cause a common event to kick in at one of 6 various negative numbers able to adjust both the 'break' numbers and the maximum negative health as he levels up is this remotely possible? if so will anyone make such a script if not i try to do some weird revive injured stye thing
Tsukihime 1,489 Posted June 29, 2013 Why not just use states and use positive numbers for different states?
MoonEnder 1 Posted June 29, 2013 Why not just use states and use positive numbers for different states? because i would like to use the concept of a character who fights when others would have died if it is possible
Maliki 33 Posted July 1, 2013 I know you said you don't wanna use states, but you can use one to make someone immune to the death state, redering them invincible until you take the state off. Having negative numbered HP could be potential game breaking scripting/programming-wise. Besides, with good spriting, you can show all of these effects without having to have your numbers go negative. Just my $0.02.
MoonEnder 1 Posted July 5, 2013 i know of a way to do it by using a mana shield script but i want to know if it is possible to make a negative number script
Maliki 33 Posted July 5, 2013 Yes, you can most likely do this with a script snippet or two.
