charlesthehurst 691 Posted July 15, 2013 Thank you. Meh, I still don't know about that face... Anyhow, the full animation sheet can be found at my resource thread: http://www.rpgmakerv...rsts-resources/
AJNR 156 Posted July 17, 2013 I don't mean to put more load on your back, but you could use the whole (4 to 9 frames) character sheet to animate your nine tails. It may seem like a lot of work, since you have a high range of colors in the sprite, but it'll flow much smoother than just having 3 frames. Another thing is that if you do do this, you would have to put the Stepping Animation ON for the Event and create the Move Route for the Event to Turn Left/Up/Down/Right and wait for some 4-12 frames between each turn for the animation to finish it's set and move on to the next. That's one method, another being with more character sheets that consist of 3 animations and changing the graphic when it's done turning it's animation (like the Chest and Door). Meaning if you wanted 9 animations - you would need 3 character sheets. No need to do this. Just saiyan'
charlesthehurst 691 Posted July 17, 2013 There's five shades of yellow, five of white/grey and two of red. There really isn't that much color in this fox... That being said, I'm not going to touch the fox again for awhile. While I had thought of expanding the number of frames in the animation, it is much harder to implement. As Holder pointed out, there are lot of parts animated in this piece. If it was only 3 tails or so, I could have made more elaborate animations. But in order to keep consistent with RTP size, and true to what the creature is, I had to reduce my workload somewhat. The suggestion is acknowledged AJNR, but I am happy with the fox for now. I may expand on it in the future, but I make no promises.
AJNR 156 Posted July 17, 2013 (edited) I know, it's completely fine if you don't animate it's tails. Not even Gamefreak animates it's own Ninetail's Tails. Edited July 17, 2013 by AJNR
Skibbys 2 Posted July 18, 2013 The animation looks like its trying to hack out a furball on first look, not trying to be a dick, its just what it looks like to me.
charlesthehurst 691 Posted July 18, 2013 lol the animation looks a lot better in game. I've never made .gifs before, so that thing on the main post is the terrible result. The animation is a lot smoother, trust me.
