Hello there everyone.  I have here a big bunch of free to use music, a mountain of it you could say.

These tracks are from various sources whether it be projects that haven't worked out, tracks that weren't used,

tracks i've made for fun and so on.  They are completely free to use for both non-commercial AND commercial projects.

I only ask that I am credited appropriately and that if you like my tracks that you consider commissioning me for your project.

The tracks are mostly in ogg and mp3 format.  If for some reason you really really want a track in a different format

and you can't do it yourself, please send me a pm and i'll be happy to help.

I have a request but I'm not sure if you'll do it.  Your 8-twit is very nice and I was wondering if you can do something that sounds like that but more modern.  I love the dark feel I get from it, just need more modern sounds, like without the High Beeps.  If you don't feel like doing it then that's no problem.  It sounds cool, just doesn't fit an evil castle just right.  I'm going for a castlevania type feeling.

When I next update this list with a few new themes I may consider.  Unfortunately I'm not really doing any additional free work at the moment as I have commissions and this months restaff over on rpgmakerweb to do, not to mention the none rpg maker work.

That being said I do like the music of castlevania and I do feel I need to expand upon my 8-bit and 16-bit style work.  So really it's more of a matter of when I'll do it, than, if I'll do it.  Sorry to disappoint!

I really like this! Your music adds a nice variety to what is already available, and I could easily see using some of them in my current project. I really like the seasons themed pieces, though all of them are great! Nice job.

Man, Scy, do you think you wrote enuf music? My fingers hurt from renaming all your files, brother! =]

Thanks for all of the stuff.

You have files named things like rk-b-r1 and then you call them creative stuff like Hall of the Wild Tangerine (just kidding!) so I have to rename all of the files to include your descriptive titles and (OF COURSE) your name "cr Scythuz" - cuz Grannies just have to be careful like that! =]

Sorry Granny :(  I would've done it myself if you'd asked though, I know how much your lists matter to you!  You love my name choices really though! :D

These sound absolutely awesome, I will be sure to use several of these. I already know I'm going to use 8-Twit, Mirrorphone, and In Space There is a Giant Piano. Great sounds, really professional but still fitting the game style.

(Also your whole Final Year Project is AMAAAZINGGG)

I think that towars the end of my game creation I will think about commissioning you to help with my psychedelic sci-fi.  ;) <3

More free music for you all!

This is from an early sega megadrive / genesis style soundtrack I made for a friend who has given me permission to give the tracks away.

It's made using a very faithful megadrive / genesis soundfont.  Have a listen!

Hey there everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for restaff of august 2013 over on rmw.  As I do put up a link to my restaff soundcloud set on here I thought it'd make sense to ask on here too.

So, if you need any leftover music for your game or the like and you don't mind it being non-exclusive... nows the time to ask!  Either post on here or by pm, whatever takes your fancy.

Just a note though, it'd be very convenient if all requests could be made by the 26th of August, the earlier the better really.  I also don't have time to do any guitar tracks by the submission date, samples and midi only please!

>< Ohhhh I'm so excited to see what new music you'll be releasing!!! You have some of the best game music I'v found!

I suppose I do have one request :P could you perhaps make some mysterious underwater themed loops? Take all the creative liberty you like! If you want some more details on that though slower and deeper notes would be cool :D but not necessary.

Thank you for the consideration!! <3

That's a wonderful idea, I don't know why I haven't done more underwater tracks but now is as good a time as any to start!

Heh, looks like you have your mind set on the underwater music (which would still be pretty rad because there ain't nearly enough of that) but I thought I'd ask about some western-styled music using modern instruments or something later on? The western music pack sounds really cliche and dated. Some of its' tracks are good for field or town themes, but it's otherwise a little too "cowboys and indians". I bet a lot of people would enjoy it if more artists started releasing different kinds of takes on the genre. (myself especially!)

edit: just noticed you said no guitar tracks for the re staff, so I guess western is out. But hey! Recommendations for the future.

@Tempest - Well I do have an acoustic guitar sample set so it's still do-able.  It's electric guitar that's the problem.  Do you have something like a spaghetti western in mind?  Or maybe something more like wild arms?

@Everyone - By the way, I'll save anything that's been left over for next month/the month after etc so don't worry about the deadline!

Wild Arms was exactly the kind of atmosphere I was thinking of. That kind of music hasn't had nearly enough attention. The classic instruments and the modern flair together really transformed the sound and made the setting very unique. It's perfect for steampunky games that might be set in a more desert/wastelandish setting rather than the per-usual Victorian-era towns.
