I have requested logos for my game (story purposes) from her and have by no means been dissatisfied. They always turn out the way I imagined them before requesting and hold the same effort and beauty as the rest of her logos. Good job, Cirus. I really like the Spirit of wind and sky too, does that twirl at the back represent the wind cause well it just looks so elegant :3 And Silicon Savior Sasha also looks awesome! I really like the way that the font "pops out" in front of the emeraldy twirls. Can't wait for more work and I'll be sure to request you when I need to a logo! Except of course the logo for "Constellation" which is the actual logo for my current game and the logos made for requests! Thank you so much for your interest! It seems almost like an exercise in how to make many distinct yet themed logos using similar colours, quite amazing how you can be so creative with such minimalist ideas! And I get a sense that you've practised this kind of stuff a LOT because it's all especially crisp and precise- from my experience in graphic design I can kinda see the signs that you worked hard on balancing placement of letters and imagery so they catch the eye right. If you didn't do that on purpose then you have an amazing innate skill o.O Though now I am kinda curious to see what sorts of things you could do if you tried different styles of logo, like more dramatic things, or scary things or cute things or even just different colours. These logos are very universally appealing but don't say much about the story's personality, they could honestly fit any genre and theme. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, I guess it depends on what you want to use them for. Gotta say I like the Constellation one the best, I love the sort of runic design behind the writing. It's always effective to have a recogniseable image alongside recogniseable text! Making us all jealous here XD Clipped Wings is so creepy awesome and I love how it looks like the torn-off wing is pinned to the logo and leaking all over it. Very eww.. in a good way XD Makes me curious!! One suggestion though.. the D is kind of dark and hard to make out against the wing shadow. The dark colours fit for the rest of the logo so perhaps change that one letter to something like bold stark white? Would be even more eyecatching and draw attention to the gory wing. But it'd mean that the D is highlighted when it's not really important... so maybe mirror stuff and have the wing behind the C instead? (cos the first letter would make sense to be in white) I love the texture on Fathom, it looks like... blood-coloured metal! Very unique and eerie, and eye-catching with the shimmery effect and no outline. I also like how the big cross/sword slash image draws the eye even before you start to read the text, and then it actually guides your eye straight towards the text XD Very sneaky! It's like an advertisement technique... I can imagine that being of great use on an actual game box in a store. You're just walking past and something catches in the corner of your eye to make you go "What's this?" Then you involuntarily follow it down and read the word, so it hooks you in immediately like an EVIL TRAP xD No chance of anyone just walking on by. I can't tell you how annoying it is when something catches your eye but doesn't capture your attention. So you might look away by accident and walk straight past in the split second it takes your brain to process the information. It's like... "hey I saw something, where is it?" XD And then you spend ages walking around the store trying to find the damn thing again and probably give up XD So yeah... that's why I love logos where the visual part of it is linked in with the words. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Bunni89 85 Posted October 9, 2013 Umm... that's not actually what I meant about a white logo. I agree that that one looks less dramatic, plus the D is still really hard to make out because its red. I kinda meant the opposite, red every other letter and white on the bits that need to stand out against the black. But I dunno if this is helpful lol XD I'm not trying to nag, just to clarify what i meant if my other post was incomprehensible. I'm bad at talking ! XD I love the game over! It's rare that you see a game over that isn't SUPAH GRIMDARK or just bland text on a black background. It's like... usually people try to either blandly state in robotic style that the game has ended, or make you feel like you failed and now everyone is dead. This is ignoring all of that and giving us a game over that matches with the game and looks super sparkly prettyness~ So it's like... it's just saying "the game is over" instead of "your character failed and died and everything is awful", but it doesn't take you out of the action and go into robot voice. It's still there inside the viewer's immersion so it's just like... "your character failed but that's no big deal, let's try again!" One minor criticism though... the swirl before the "over" made me misread it as "game lover" at first XD Though that could just be me being silly XD And the candy logo is just so cute that I wanna hug it!! I love the check/tartan type texture and how it's all slanted and not particularly consistant. Along with the letters being all bouncy and handwriting-style, it makes it look like they're dancing around while standing still! Gives an instant impression that it fits for a game that's bubbly and energetic~ It says "Come join in the fun!" Just wondering... do you do requests?
