Another reason why people wouldn't bother with the game is due to its size and their potentially bad connection, the bigger the game gets the longer it takes to download and some people have limited bandwidth to work with and can't afford to download games with it, in the case of this the size is obviously due to the music - You can make a game work rather well even without lots of music, too much of something can be bad.

Consider this general feedback not strictly related to the game, I've downloaded this and will return if I feel that feedback is necessary as mentioned in your recent status update, may take a few days yet though - I hope you're willing to wait a little longer, people don't like being pressed in regards to gaming as it's something we're supposed to enjoy and generally like taking our time to experience the game completely, keep that mind while you wait.

The above may have come off as perhaps uncaring in some way, if it did I apologize - I'm prone to apathetic behaviour.

Thank you.  I am afraid I cannot make it any smaller though.  If I were to upload the Audio file seppreatly they wouldn't understand why.  I removed every thing I wasn't using but I cannot seem to shrink the size. I'm just very impatient because I don't know how long it'll take people to play the game.  Any way I'll shut up now.

Also I do not understand why the way I talk drives people away. I mean they can clearly see I am upset, but that doesn't mean I'll be that way towards negative feedback.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but, as an analogy, how would you feel if some 5 year old, walked up to you, and started screaming at you and begging you to look at something they did. consider the emotions you would feel: annoyance, impatience, ect.  that's how we humans tend to react to that behavioural pattern, which would obviously drive people away from your game.

Again, I'm not trying to sound at all harsh, but that's simply the way it is.

@Heartfeltcurse It's okay I feel better now.  I know I shouldn't be telling people this, but I see a therphyst or however you spell that.  I saw her today she basically told me what you just said. I shouldn't have behaved the way did.  So since I was told the same thing by her I know not to behave that way in future posts that I make.  So I'll just talk about my game more instead of asking people to give it a chance. I'm deeply sorry for what I said.

Everyone has a little bout of frustration once in a while. :) The goal is to let it go *cue Idina Menzel haha*, move on, and become happy again! ^^

I know, but it's no excuse for the way that I behaved.  I need to learn to control my emotions better in the future and either talk more about my game or ask nicely if anyone has tried it and say that I'd love to know what they think of the game if they play it.

Well, it's not like we're going to hold a grudge. Maybe it wasn't the right way to act, but don't dwell on it. Why should you, when you can be using that time to develop an awesome game? :)

I been working on games. I'm giving people a chance to play through this game and enjoy it.  Games are supposed to be fun anyway :)

So since I was too tired to work on my game I decided to try out your game. I'm barely 30 minutes in and found a LOT of grammatical errors and passability errors. Plus, the game is super large. I recommend turning your MP3 songs to OGG format.

Here are some screenshots (I added some captions for humor. I'm funny.)

And now for the good things...

- I love the music so far.

- Dunno why, but I'm a bit attached to Raven.

- Quest system is fun and easy to understand. Hooray!

- I like the tilesets(DS Pack is the best pack)

*deep breath* Done. I'm gonna keep playing now. See ya!

Thank you very much for pointing those out.  I'll make sure that I go through them and fix that.  Glad you're enjoying the game by the way.

Update 3/21/2014

Sorry for the double post.  Just want to let everyone know that the game is complete now.  To see what was updated look at the first post.

You're welcome. In the end I don't think it's a bad game, you just need a better presentation for it(like fixing the typos) to gather attention.

Like I said before, the way you talked drove people off, but it's great that you've changed now. :) Also, I saw that your game has almost 180 downloads on the rmn link. That's amazing!

One thing I forgot to mention, don't you think the forest maps are a a bit sparce? They're big, but there's almost nothing on them :/

To be honest I am not very good with outside and natural areas.  I think I fixed the typos but that don't mean there are more in there that I missed. That's why sometimes I have some one else go through and fix the up.  This may sound weird but even when I test play my games there are always typos or grammar mistakes that I do not notice. Not sure way.  Thank you very much for trying the game though.  Also if you did play till the end you noticed there will be a sequel when I get around to it.  I am unsure but if there is another update it will be the voice acting done by the members of my college game club hopefully.

Sorry for the double post.  However there was quest glitch pointed out in the review that prevented the player from continuing.  If anyone has encountered this glitch or encounters it please tell me where it is and what quest it is so that I can fix it please.  Also the quests in the menu are optional you don't even have to complete them if they confuse you but I still want to fix this glitch if anyone else can find it or encounters it.

Hey, now that there's a easier way for you to spell check, I suggest that you rewrite the recruitment thread.

You don't know much I want to help you with the spelling( I love the english language), but tests start next week and I need to study. Sorry, pal. :/

Sorry for the double post.  I just want to let everyone know I fixed a glitch that sometimes happens during the Alvair Tower scene that was pointed out at RM.net. Yes I did test play the demo before I released it.  It's just that sometimes glitches get passed me for some reason.

Sorry for posting again just wanted to let everyone know that I fixed a glitch where if you accept the side quest to save David the event didn't start when you found.  I fixed that, so now the event starts when you find him. I also added animated battlers for the characters.  I haven't added any new chapters yet,  I just play tested after adding animated battlers and fixed a few spelling errors and glitches this time around.

Hey guys and girls. First of all I am sorry that I haven't updated this game in awhile. I just got back to it since I got writers block on the Eternal Destiny remake right now.

I been wondering is this game better with a side view battle system with the animated battlers or do you think it will be better with a front view battle system with battlers like XP?
Keep in mind if you vote side view battlers are harder and take a lot longer for me to do.  Front view battlers I can just draw or edit battlers to look like my characters.  However it is up to you since I am undecided.

Just make sure you look at all the choices in the poll.

It really depends on you, your time and commitment to this project.

Personally, I'm into all battle systems of any kind, as long as you maintain some interest into these battle system.

Just like you said, SBS takes a while but your time and commitment can show a lot.  :) Plus you can make so many things in an SBS that can make your project stand out. FBS is nice and simple and its pretty quick but it's used a lot and it kind of blends a lot with other projects.

I haven't tried it out but those are things that mainly people think (at least for some). I'll download this and see how this project is. ;)
