The gameplay of 'Divinity Fatum' involves wandering around while looking for clues throughout the game. As illustrated on the image below, there would be hints for where you would go next which will appear on the upper left part of the screen. This may only be visible when you choose the easy difficulty. The clue will show the number which the street represents. Each street would be linked with another street on a very odd pattern.

The game includes side clues which would not be related to the main story line, but instead those clues contribute to the difficulty, tension and the atmosphere of the game. Some clues would just be randomly placed on the streets and others would be found inside rooms. Example of this clues are short scenes, background sounds and some stuff which will aid you while playing. I regretted picking up the note on the street as it raised the tension of the game and it felt more creepy because of it. After picking the note, an additional background sound would be played and it had a big impact on the gameplay. It made me a bit more paranoid than before which adds to the main goal of a horror game. so good job on that.

My second example for side clues are the additional scenes which you would be able to go through in the game.

As illustrated on the image below, these kind of scenes are what makes the game interesting. Instead of just following the storyline or the main plot of the game, you may play the game differently by finding these side clues. This part was one of the parts which I got paranoid a lot, just reading the words while walking towards the end of the street made me feel the chills. The way the tension was building up was very extraordinary as I am not the type who gets scared a lot but I was definitely paranoid on this scene, I even hesitated to continue playing the game or not because of the tension (as you can see I had my character go back because I was too paranoid to continue reading xD), but I wanted to finish the game to be able to submit this review and help the author improve his game so I continued. :D

A last example of of those side clues which I mentioned were those which would help you in the game, for example this nifty map which you would be able to find in one of the rooms in the streets.

I had a hard time on reading the map as the streets were strangely patterned. ( so instead of using this map, I went and created my own instead)

The image above is an example of how the streets are connected to each other. See the resemblance on the given map? Analyzation is needed to get to the right places on the map which is a good part of the game as it includes the use of the brain instead of just mindlessly following the main plot. Exerting effort is needed to finish the game. :)

I enjoyed playing the game and I have seen no flaws, the only thing I may ask for is additional side clues as I have noticed there were only few placed in the game. Regardless, I had a lot of fun playing the game. :)

The story of the game is something which you would definitely remember as every part of the story was well planned. Everything was connected to each other and every detail of the story was explained and was shown in a very nice way. The story included bible verses and religious stuff which made it more creepier as you interpreted it in a very creepy way, but still kept it connected with the verses. I would not want to spoil others on the story so I would keep this as is. A very nice job on formulating the story. :)

The music which was used in the game were creepy/mysterious/silent/exploring type of music. It blended well in the environment adding up to the main aim of a horror game, which is to scare the hell out of its players. And you did a good job on this, it is my first time playing horror games on RMVXA so I had a few jumpscares like at the start of the game when the tv shattering sounds played with a short screen shatter. You caught me unexpected there, good job. I never imagined I would be shocked by a RMVXA horror game but you proved me wrong, this is a perfect example of a game which would definitely scare you. Here are some screenshots of the effects which blended in with the environment/scenes of the game.

the screenshot below is the one which was so mysterious, I had a lot of things going around my mind when I encountered this. The random events on the environment while wandering will leave you thinking of what may happen next, which signifies that the player is enjoying the game as he foresees what would happen, which would mean that the player would want to continue playing the game. (Good job :))

The art which was used in the game were exceptionally good and every time an art is presented, it blends in with the effects which were set and the music which were played. below are some screenshots of the art presented in the game.

What made it different for me in this game is, usually, when an image of a girl which would be slightly undressed would be showed in a game, it would be looked upon with malice, but in your game, I had no way to look at it with malice as the music which was playing affected the way I thought and the story which had been brought upon from the beginning changed how I looked at the picture. While I was looking at the picture, I was more concentrated on the environment, as on horror games, usually the details on the environment are very important. So, good job on controlling the mood of the player.

Overall, I enjoyed the game and I really look forward on the time when this game would be finished. I have seen not that many flaws and I have not noticed any typographical error too(maybe I was too concentrated on feeling the game that is why I have not noticed any). I give you a big congratulations on creating this game and it seems like all your hard work payed off. I give this game a 4/5 for its current version as everything in the demo was properly polished and I had encountered no bugs at all. I have not encountered any type of error and everything was greatly delivered. Good job and happy game making :)

I've read your review and it really pleased me ;D. However if possible, I'd like to know what you think about second part of the game (after avoiding so called "bad ending").

I especially appreciate that you liked graphics, as these were made completly by myself. Also knowing that you didn't seen picture from mirror event (and protagonist's design overall) as something perverse was quite a relief, however I'm curious how would you react on events happening later on (especially certain one).
