Erias Line - screenshots

Recommended Posts

Hi, posting these for any thoughts or opinions passers-by might have. The game is called Erias Line and there'll be a demo in a few weeks. All the backgrounds, sprites, battlebacks, battlers and incidentals are by me (in Photoshop). The PCs and enemies are animated alike (tres time consuming) - I'm putting the OST together now too.

Comments, questions, interest, criticism welcome.

Tah all,

Very well made, but the lack of context adds some questions (I assume AP is skills?),also the main character kinda looks like Prussia from Hetalia XD

Yeah, sorry, should have been a bit more generous with explanations haha.

AP is skills yeah. Orphan is a knife-fighter, Skyler is a tank and Dillon is for AOE, she uses grenades of various kinds that have to be crafted from manuals and textbooks with components.

I really like your UI style - it's incredibly clean and a refreshing change from the typical RPG Maker style. The game itself has a very unique style and is doubly impressive as you've made everything yourself. The perspective in battles is handled really nicely and the battlers, at least from the screenshots, look like they're very fluid. I'll be looking forward to the demo for this game!

Thank you kindly!

I'm either proud or dubious of the fact that at 24 this is the project I've worked hardest at in my whole life. So a coming demo has the most reliable personal guarantee I've ever given. Just writing the script now.

Heehee. I like the idea of this. Especially the drawings, they fit with the game but don't look so brightly RPG...very nice. Just one question: why is everything so dark? :o

They're old screenshots, I've since addressed the darkness problem. It's weird, because I spent so long designing it all piece by piece that my eyes must have become used to it, so I didn't think it was dark at all. Then I showed some friends and their first reaction was exactly the same.

"Damnit it's too dark, can't SEE anything!"

Everything will be much brighter and more colourful (screenshot 4, for example, will be covered in graffiti) in the demo itself :)

Graffiti? :) Okay, I wasn't expecting that, but I guess you could call it a form of eye candy~
