Needless to say, Naruto Uzumaki's reaction was a bit over the top when assigned his first ninja mission in weeks. Despite Lady Tsunade's better judgement, she has chosen Naruto to deal with an assassin ninja last seen in a neighboring village. Although Naruto sees this as a normal task, the lady hokage is well aware of the true risks involved regarding a terrorist group bent on capturing the reckless young ninja for his abilities. This is why she also picks a member of the Anbu (Special Task Force) to oversee the mission and to secretly keep watch over Naruto. However when things don't go according to plan, it is up to the rookie anbu to handle a situation way out of his league.

Love the logo and really like some of the things going on in your screenshots like transparent wall-top where you can go between rooms.

Is this game based of the path of the ninja games? I loved Path of the ninja 2 (Not even a naruto fan and I've beat it at least 5 times),definitely gonna be following this project.

Haha no it is not designed to follow any former Naruto games. Although it does use chracters from the anime, the game is intended to be unique and original in every other way. Including the fact that the hidden leaf village has three houses ;)

Yeah I just asumed due to the sprites being similar.Question,do I need to know a lot about naruto to play this game?

EDIT:Here are some stuff I found playing through the demo

1.

pX9yE.jpg

Small tile inconsistency, barely noticed it,but still there.

2.

AxYgV.jpg

Terms inconsistency,at least I think,is it referring to built in TP or something else?

3.

You can open the menu during the first cutscene.

Also I feel that the manu menu is a bit convoluted,I know its in Naruto fashion, but I don't think you need a different category of taijutsu, ninjutsu and a use jutsu command,it was hard to get use to,if you keep it I'd recommend to order it differently. It was also kind of annoying to keep remebering how much EP jump kick cost, especially since it skips your turn.

I also can't seem to find where all my JP is.Also its annoying that the jutsus seem to hit random targets, made the first boss more tedious than he should have been.

But other then that,I'm really enjoying this game, its tilesets, sprites and writing are great! (Though the tilesets look more like western europe then japan)

Ah yes the invisible tree was rather akward. I wan't quite sure what to do since I wanted the player to see the mission stand and I never got around to fixing it haha. The TP is a simple fix, I copied the skill directly from another project and must have overlooked that. And the menu is a simple fix also thank you!

The entire jutsu system was obviously the big time consumer in this project. There was no perfect way to do it which is why I'm looking for a coder who can help me out. I will try and find a way around the jump kick thing, maybe putting the cost in the name?  For targeting I am very aware of this although there isn't a great solution to this yet either, still waiting on the scripter. JP that's a good point I will see if there's a way to display it in the menu.

Yes japanese tilesets are harder to find then I suspected. At first I spent a long time searching for tilesets from path of the ninja to no avail. Which is how I ended up using mostly tiles that I already had in my system. Altogether I appreciate the feedback and the bugs, and if you are free I would love to have your help on the project. PM me if you're interested!

Wow,didn't even notice the invisible tree,I was referring to the tiles on the wall/barrier thing, haha. The jutsu was fine,I was just an idiot and forgot that wind-style hits all while file style hits a random target, though you may want to put that in the descriptions for future notice.Really enjoyed the demo none the less, made me super nostalgic and is driving me to beat Naruto RPG 2 (It was a japanese only path of the ninja game that follows the second have of the animes plot).

My apologies offender, I didn't see your comment because I made the mistake of following Godra Region. That game is getting some ridiculous hype. Anyway I have the link to download directly from my dropbox. If this isn't working on your computer I tried putting up some other links.

It looks nice!

Just starde playing. Couple of errors found:

- If you want to do a battle without scrolls you get stuck and have to restart.

- In the house to the south you can get endless Chakra Vial in the left cubbord in the kichen...
