Ooh! Thanks! (For some reason my Lab wasn't keeping up like it was supposed to and I didn't realize so many people had already voted...whoops...)

Well *sighs* I thought nobody had voted, so I already started on Rapunzel (the whole 3 Princesses thing from Halloween and Disney Quiz got me thinking) but unless the votes change, after I finish her up and post her I'll start on Coralie (who is currently in the lead)~

Anyone want a lineart? ^-^

 

 

I really should've finished the lineart sooner but I got distracted reading the posts on Cecillia | Cruel Miracle, so whoops. But no worries now~

I spent a few minutes lacing up her corset before I remembered it's lattice pattern and not straight across...haha...and yeah, she looks a little blank right now. Cool hair though, right? :3 It'll look really nice colored~

Sorry for the double post ^^" But hey, I have a big update for you guys!

Coloring was a blast on Rapunzel--doing hair was so much fun. ^-^

 

 

It's hard to tell now that I resized, but the hair was really beautiful at 200% T-T Oh well. There's a full emoset for you guys, and tonight I'll check poll results. (Sorry, I know that was fast...)

@Holder: Thanks! It actually only took me about twenty minutes. Doing hair is such fun~ Hahaha, I'm so weird...

Why, why, WHY did you guys have to pick Coralie?? XD I love her too, I know. She's just such a pain to do because she's by far the most intricate portrait I've ever done. Just doing the lineart took 3 full days...

However, I'm almost done with the hair (T-T) and then I can move onto her dress...and then skin tone...

By the way, I've doing a brief tutorial with her, so it's taking...uh...doubly long. I seriously shouldn't have used her for a tut because she's so complicated. Ah well.

Aww, don't feel bad ^-^ I do battlers in kinda the same style I do portraits (and everything else haha!). I probably need the practice too because I haven't done full-body pictures in a long time and I need to get back to stuff like that now XD I'm thinking of doing all humanoid battlers, sometimes dynamic and sometimes not, and maybe pop in a little foreshortening. I have ALL portraits here and I...uh...kind of need to stop my fetish :3 >.>"

Hi Tsarmina! If you're not too busy, could you do a few portraits?(actually, a lot of portraits). They're for my main project game, so you can pretty much take your time. I would need around 16 portraits, and if you could add some "generic" emotions I could combine these with backgrounds to create stop-motion cutscenes.

 

If you would like to take such a request, just tell me and I'll PM all the details (I wouldn't want to spoil it all, so that's why the PM).

 

Of course, even after you see all the stuff I need you can refuse, according to your terms, but I'd just like to know if you do this kind of stuff.

ERMAGERD 16? lol. Sure, I probably could, but I'll really just have to process them one at a time...and you can be guaranteed I'll tackle any girl portraits before any guys. XD Generic emos are easy, they take less than one hour per portraitset.  :3 Hit me with that (anticipated to be super-long) PM, and I'll do my best! ^-^

 

....As for the others who are still (patiently) waiting on their requests, especially those of whom are looking for CG's...

I'm working...sorta...^^" I'm really sorry to disappoint, but you guys may know by now that I procrastinate on CG's more than portaits, plus all my workload (had to hit a foreign language exam today and I'm wiped), but...I'll get there.

Saying that I sprite I'm too pretentious. I'm using MACK sprite generator and then customizing the sprites a bit in paint.net (learned how to use the magic brush this week lol).

Still, I can't even get past...uh...anything with spriting. The best I can do is use the built-in Ace generator and hope it looks interesting. Hooray~ (throws fake confetti)

This is my concept art for Eunike (that's the name I gave your alchemist girl), and I needja to check it off before I keep working on her. (I solidly believe in concept art. ...Most of the time.)

I don't know anything about alchemist stereotypes, but I did my best. XD

the glasses, or make them goggles But thats just to make it a tad bit Alchemist-y other than that (which isn't even bad) You did awesome!

Updateeee! (I feel accomplished!)

 

I finally got my first request done! (Yeah, it took me THAT long.) To be honest, I kept putting it off, but I finally gathered my wits today and told myself, "Lady, you're going to finish this."

 

But I wasn't patient enough to finish linearting, so this is actually my first colors-only piece.  All my other works have linearts, but not this one.

 

So, I present to you, mrmilkman's Koko Island title screen!

 

 

Honestly, I was just going to do a screen and leave it at that, but I was suddenly inspired to make a title for it too.

Or, more like, I was getting brush-happy with all the fun brush selections in Photoshop and wanted to put them to good use...^^" mrmilkman: If you don't like the title, I saved the version without a title too. Just give me a yell if you don't need it ^-^

And here are your clouds, by the way, so you can animate them. Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking and they're all in one block, so you can't animate individual clouds...I know they're hard to see, but they're the same ones in the title screen.

 

 

Let me know if there's anything you don't like. I did my best to go for a traditional painting style, and I'm aware the volcano lava looks weird (so I can remove that, too, because I worked with like six hundred different layers.)

 

*breathes out* Well, that's one title done. *added to OP* First non-portrait...so I'd say it was a learning experience! ^-^
