Summary:
Renryuu: Ascension is an adult fantasy RPG that follows the story of Ryen, A half dragon. After stumbling upon a plot to place an imposter on the throne Ryen takes the opportunity to seize power himself. His duties and adventures as the new king will take him from the streets of the Capital to the far corners of the world.

Renryuu is a fully realized RPG filled with excitement, Danger and the company of beautiful women! Your party starts with just 3 characters, but during your travels up to 12 people will join your group. All 9 girls from the party will have at least 3 CGs, Going from a naked scene to a full night of fun once your relationship is high enough. As well as additional CGs of side characters that can be found around the world during your journey.

Update:

- fixed some teleport events, which would otherwise break the game.

- added some maps/events

- small changes on existing maps, for example I changed the main castle, which looked smaller than the church before o.o

- added more abilitys/items to the laboratory

- increased hero's movementspeed

- added a "no RTP" version for downloads

- fixed the political meeting with Amagal

- added the credits to Indrah that I was missing before.

- added quests for Tsubaki and Vampire. The Vampire-quest introduces the bloodthrist mechanic. Activation her basic instincts will cause her to take continually damage but only during this bloodthirst state is it possible for her to use "Soul Leech", her stronges leech attack. Getting rid of the bloodthirst state is only possible with the necessary item.

I like the concept, that used up a few good hours, and fun.

 

1.the event where you get Sandra/sunny doesn't disappear making it impossible to leave that cave from where you came

 

2. The lack of any background music is kinda maddening, I dropped Scene 6 in the beginning map with 50% pitch, it seemed to work well as a place holder

Thanks for your post :) It's good to hear that the game is fun. It's the most important part after all :D

 

The Problem with the event is easily fixed, thanks for pointing it out :)

 

I didn't realise the music was such a big issue, since I'm testing with livestreams or music in the background. I'll work on that for the next update!

Updated the main post with the newest version.

 

- music was added

- a bunch of new maps

- a new ability for Ryen, after defeating a certain boss

- added a "secret" base in Amagal (Nation in the north)

- changed the look of several maps

 

I recreated the beginning of the game. It was a funny start, but a bit too silly. Since I had a good laugh with it, I kept a choice at the start to choose which beginning you want to play. The choice affects mainly the beginning, it makes no major change for the rest of the game.

Updated the main post with the newest version.

 

- New character Elly: Needs to prepare and aim at the start of every battle and uses bullets for every attack. The pistol holds up to 7 bullets, so after 7 shots you need to reload with the spare ammo item. She can also use runes, which you can imagine like granades with different abilitys. The basic idea for her is a money for damage system.

- New Tower Defence mini game. Alot of work was put into this, but it's very time consuming and because of that not finished yet. All towers work but there are no changes in the waves after round 14 and the monsters only have higher hp in higher waves. Flying monsters or armoured monsters are not done yet. Video for TD will follow as soon as it is done.

- Some new maps.

- Finished the "traitor" questline, where some of your own guards attacked you and you were looking for the traitor behind this failed assassination.

- Added a questbook

- Added a skilltree:

When using Rations out of combat it exits the menu after every use.  If multiple party members need healed this can be a pain

Perhaps display names of important npcs as after their introduction I forget whom they are making some bug descritions difficult

Same for locations with a sign post or greeter

If you do Theremis's Diplomatic options with Begus before Amagal Theremis will not allow you to select that menu again once the meeting is complete and keeps saying "Please meet me at the fortress in the south to prepare for the meeting"

When acquiring Mira you can't walk into her cage but you can walk on the spider web then to the roof area

Broken castle in Amagal where you fight their commander offers infinite skillstones

Amagal east village north there is an npc with glasses that says "test test test" which slows the area down and makes npcs there hostile.  I think it starts a war with them...

Going to war with Amagal can give them negative population

 

Amagal's people will not care they lost a war to you

Play tower defence mini game was lost before it even began

 

How does one play Unlocked Minigames?

Quest for Gunslinger Elly the bribed guard does not return to post after the quest is complete

Ice Demon sprite reappears after defeat if you flip the green switch.  

Catgirl Mercenary should have been able to be hired

After quest "In our own ranks" the screen stays dim. Neither sleep, leaving the castle, or battle do anything to releave this

Skill Crystal: Bodyslam description is "Enables the 'Cure' skill for one character."

Katana Fire Element Skilltree changes Tsubaki's class to "Fireswordgirl" and reduces her to level 1 with 0 exp

You can give a present to Ryen which will get "This doesn't work!" and deduct one item

Needs a way to monitor relationship points

 

No bathhouse was added after upgrade purchase

- I'm so bad with giving names, even your own country doesn't have one XD but I can see your point and propable add it at some point.

- This was done before I had the questlog, therefore I wanted to remind the player where he needs to go. It shouldn't be to hard to change this into a better option.

- I assume you mean Mirel, the elf. Silly mistake, should be fixed in a few seconds.

- To all above: I forgot to mention in the update, that the war system is not nearly done yet. It's pretty much just a test version to see if all variables work together and so that I can make events, which have an effect on those variables. But it's nice that you already found some problems that need to be fixed.

- Since it took quite a lot of time to make everything work, it bothers me alot that it broke right at the start >.< Will be fixed!

- The screen was supposed to return to normal after the quest is done. I'll look into this.

Copy and Paste is your friend....most of the time ^^

 

Katana Fire Element Skilltree changes Tsubaki's class to "Fireswordgirl" and reduces her to level 1 with 0 exp [Fixed: You get two skills, either ice or fire, instead of changing class.]
- I thought it would only change the name of the class and the skills for the characker. Seems like I messed up this one

- I agree, with so many people around you it's needed. I saw an interesting script to have a nice view for this but it'll be alot of work and therefore has to wait until more important things are done.

New game version:

- Removed the battle system script until I have a better solution

- Corrected a bug that gave you less skillpoints when entering the skilltree several times.

- Added a garden to your main city in which you can grow a few plants. I plan to make them more important later when I add an alchemy script.

- Fixed some of the stuff masterdragonson mentioned in his post further above

- Added a new boulder trap in a dungeon :) hope you know how to dash.

- The arena in your main city is now open. I might change the event at some point to make more out of it, but you can challange a number of different enemys now to become the champion in the end in group or single battle.

- Trey can now chose one of eight blessings at the church to give him a new skill depending on which blessing he takes.

- Added a merchant, who will send a caravan out when you pay for it. Once the caravan is back you get some money or items from it's earnings.

 

 

Things I'm going to work on next or soon:

- Add a new battle script

- Improve the political meeting with Amagal

- Character specific abilitys that improve with their usage, e.g. Miras ability to break seals or Sunnys lockpick ability

- Group splitting scene: Already did the splitting up part, but making a special 1on1 situation between them and the protagonist for each one of them is going to take some work

- Improvement on the laboratory

- Screen for a relationship overview.

New game version:

- Tower defence mini game is almost finished, only flying monsters are still missing.

- Elfvillage completly remodeled.

- Alchemy script added.

- A bunch of other small stuff which I forgot by now :D

 

Known issues:

- Script for nametags only applied for the first few maps. Will be included for more (hopefully everywhere) in next patch.

- Events have no change on the relationship overview yet.

- Battle system is only temporary.

Small update:

- New battle system, the "Ao no Kiseki Custom Battle System" from Saba Kan, translated by kirinelf. I'm not done changing the skills for this system, but I already like it alot better than it was before.

- Reworked the quest, where you had to fight some bandits for the elfen chief.

- The half demon, half elf girl, Ellanore, will now play a more important role. In her new dialog I started to explain some more about different kinds of demons to clarify a few things.

- Some small fixes

- The slave, Ryoko, will now join you in your party later when you free her instead of buying her.

- Reworked the visual for Treys choice of blessings in the church

- Splitting dungeon quest in south dungeon is now reachable

- New quest for Ryens "paperwork" in his room in the castle

- A new character quest and dungeon for Vampire

- You can now gamble with Hiroku at the south fort to get the gambler set parts

- Full TP now gives you an atk, agi, hit and crit buff

New game version 0.1.7.2:

- Reworked some maps

- added a new characterquest for Mira

- added a new "warmap", inspired by the game "Eien no Aselia", which you can see below:

1. You choose a unit and place them as ether attacker, defender or support in 1 of 6 squads.

2. Once a squad has at least 1 unit, it can be placed on the warmap to fight against an enemy or mine new resources.

3. After a squad has been chosen for battle, you can start the battle. The fight is turn based. After every turn, you get the chance to heal your units, use gained experience to upgrade them, buy new units or change the setup of your squads.

After a short break, I'm working on a new update again, but I'm not yet satisfied with the amount of new content. But I did more or less finish my tower defense minigame. So here is a little "Standalone" for it:

~ New game version ~

The game now contains sexual content (as the big warning label at the top tries to tell you). The dialogs are done for only 3 girls and in 1 of 8 possible rooms. And even those dialogs will need some polish to give them a bigger variation...
The options and reactions are currently based mainly on the variable affection, which can be improved by several items. Once I'm further done with the world and characters, things will be based more on switched you have activated by your choices.

Usually they do not leave the group. During some scenes, you split up but rejoin with them after the event. In order to figure out if it's a bug, please tell me where and when it happened and I'll check it.

Updated a new game version with several bugs fixed.
Feel free to send me a message when you find a bug. Sometimes they're really stupid mistakes, which I want to be out of the game as fast as possible :D

wow. judging at the concept and features, I must say this is a very cool game.

it seems like our choices matters in this game, and this is kind of my most favorite thing in RPG. (reason why I like Harvest moon and Suikoden)

To let the character have an impact on the world was one of the fundamental ideas for the game, since I also like to see the progress the world makes together with the heroes. Since the world and questlines in my game aren't done far enough yet to interact too much with each other, the amount of grave choices is really slim. But most of what is done so far gives a good foundation to create thing upon.

Feel free to test the game and tell me how you like what is done so far :) I'm always happy about feedback to improve even small details.
