Asanaria 4 Posted December 30, 2013 I know where to find the dlcs from another post but I've not been able to find anything that actually explains how to install/import them. Could someone explain this for me please?

Asanaria 4 Posted December 30, 2013 I don't need to do anything in the database?
Urikashima 0 Posted December 30, 2013 I'm not sure if there's a faster way to do this, but what I ended up doing was in the resource manager, I hit "Import" and went to my Steam > Steamapps > Common > RPGVXACE > dlc folder and imported them to the proper areas. Afterwards, you go into your Database and (assuming you are using tile sets) either 1) Plug the assests you want to use into existing tile sets or 2) Make a new Tile set to plug in the assets to be used. Silenity 33 Posted December 30, 2013 Import them from the dlc folder found in the rpgmaker folder
Darkanine 116 Posted December 30, 2013 Copy and paste the files into your foldiers, and then in the database make sure you set all the tile-sets to there appropriate sections (Tile-sets with a capital A goes in the A section). Then set the battlers, music etc. Its not hard, albeit a bit tedious.
Asanaria 4 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) Okay, I imported everything and now a load of my graphics etc have been replaced (e.g my menu and weapon graphics). How do I stop this from happening? I can't even find the page I used for the original ones now and they've got a weird green tint in the background. To clarify I would like to be able to access all the icons and tilesets etc from all my dlcs. How do I do that? Edited January 2, 2014 by Asanaria
Chaos17 31 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) How do I stop this from happening? !that's mean the DLC had the same name as the original ressources you had in your project folder... Visit Kespler guide (i my sinature) to learn some basics. Edited January 2, 2014 by Chaos17
Volkrian 0 Posted January 2, 2014 I had the same issue with my dlc. what i would do is first delete all of your imports from your resource editor. Afterwards you can do 2 things. Compare each folder and rename copy names to eliminate the inevitability of them overwriting OR! What I did was copied my rtp folder to my desktop then copied my dlc files (contents of one folder at a time) into the corresponding folders for your new rtp. It then prompts you to copy and replace or copy and keep both files. You keep both files and rename the one given (2) at the end. Then you can do the same thing for all dlc you get. Just plop the new files into your home made database, rename issues from there and import by the thousands. I would recommend finding every dlc you want to use before you start a project. Either way its a grueling task. Another way would be to name all of your dlc files with something that would define it from the rest of them such as a number or a letter. This action would sort your dlc in your massive folder making it easier to find what you want. I apologize for the wall of text. Sending this from my phone, after all. Hope this helps
Asanaria 4 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) I've renamed the resources but I still can't access all of them. Any idea why this is happening? Edit: that guide, though the bit about states fixed my poison problems, didn't really explain much about why I can't access all the graphics. Please note that they are all in the correct folders in the project folder. Edited January 8, 2014 by Asanaria
