Chill-out Corner (Fave Music Thread)

@LadyBloodsong: DEFINITE yes to Fantastic Baby. =^-^= It's one of the strangest MVs in existence, but it is my favorite Kpop song out there surprisingly. XD I love SPY (suju, right?) but most of the time I prefer SHINee to Super Junior. :D

Ok. Wow. I love love love you.

This is my fave by Lee Hi. I also think you'd like another of her's called Rose.

Hmm. I'm not really a single singer person. I prefer the groups ^^ Except for Han Geng, I like him. Though there are a few others too~

♪ You put the lime in the coconut and shake it all up. ♫

This will probably be stuck in my head for the remainder of this day.

:D  You're welcome!

Old but gold.

Agh darn. Now I've got lime and coconut stuck in my head. Figuratively and literally. (Don't ask about the latter!)

Not that that's a bad thing... right?

Anyway, while we're on the topic of oldies...

Okay, so I'm back...  ...I just like sharing music, okay :/

I almost posted Janell Monae's 'Cold War' video, but opted for this"single take"music video instead. Plus I think Thomas Holm could use a lil' more love. 2:55+ is always my fav part (and 3:47). What an adorable man :T

I have no idea what the lyrics meant but it was so good, it made me watch until the end. Gave me a good chuckle  :D

@LadyBloodsong: Ahh, Aerosmith. Reminds me of good memories.

@AlliedG: Wow that's beautiful. I haven't watched ef yet, maybe I should start watching.

His english might sometimes be whacky, but the song stuck itself in my head from when I was in highschool.

^ For a moment, I feared that was gonna be a cover of Outkast's song Miss Jackson. I don't really like Panic at the Disco, but I'd say this is one of their better songs for sure.

At the moment, I am listening to some funk music. Earth Wind and Fire, to be exact. I absolutely love this song, and I'm very much looking forwards to performing this at our gig tomorrow evening. :D

Oh gosh, how I envy the artistic license you guys get.

I'd kill to play in a band... though I'm only suited for bass or lead without vocals because I sound like a croaking British toad.

And now for something completely different.
I have no idea what genre this is, but it's funky. That's all that counts.

Didn't think I'd start with something so mainstream, but I've been listening to a lot of Dream Theater lately. Especially Surrounded, which is probably my favorite song of theirs, due to it's energy and generally happy feeling.

Jam!

Aside from the beat, its the lyrics that gets to me.

Not really a fan of RWBY, but I admit they have their style.

Anyway, if you guys know of the Mass Effect series, you'll know of the band Faunts, which provided the ending song for Mass Effect 1 and 3.

Here's another of their hits.

Drama+war+drama+drama+did I mention drama?

Love this piece. (Mars, Bringer of War from the Planets suite by Gustav Holst.)

Might I add that if you have never heard this piece performed live in front of your eyes, you have not lived.

I feel like I'm posting too much. Well, those are the joys of listening to and being able to play lots of music.

Let's take a break from strings/full orch and settle with a nice piano.

And now for something completely different.

Goldfish!

They have some songs that are a bit more well-known, but I chose this rather obscure one as it's been stuck in my head for a few weeks now.

I really love how this band manages to blend jazz and dance/techno elements so well

I've been in a mood lately, so...

Enigma is... weird. Like, really, really weird. I don't even know what to call the genre. I like it, though; I find it's weirdness charming, somehow.

By the way, I'm severely lacking in music with female singers. Any suggestions, guys? Genre doesn't matter.
