SpookyMothman 361 Posted March 6, 2014 Time for metal? Time for metal. This is Circus Maximus, one of my all-time favorite bands. Don't let the... apparently bad Photoshop of a kinda weird album cover fool you; they are really good.
Spectre 829 Posted March 7, 2014 Surprisingly good, actually. And I'm not even a fan of metal. Without further ado, here's some more pretty sounds from my own demented playlist.
Rudolfus 3 Posted March 7, 2014 I actually think this here has a lot of potential as a boss music because of the fast piano. I'd personally leave out the rapping as I don't really like vocals in game music. Just not my cup of tea.
53 Posted March 8, 2014 No country in this thread? Rearry? There's a lot better country than this of course, but I chose this song because I've always loved it's music video (and well, the song too of course). I always liked 80's/90's country pop, but after about 2005 or so country was struck by lightening and has been so good ever since. Much better than it's ever been (if ya' ask me). I think it has a lot to do with an upsurgence of female country stars and a generation who grew up in Margaritaville with Jack and Diane :T If you didn't like country before, I highly suggest tryin' it out again. There's some really good musicians now. Here's a small sampling I'd suggest tryin' out. Good Picks: ♫ Zac Brown Band - Chicken Fried / Toes ♪ Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying ♫ Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats / Cowboy Casanova ♪ Brad Paisley - Southern Comfort Zone ♫ Little Big Town - Tornado / Boondocks ♪ Hunter Hayes - Everybody's Got Somebody But Me / Somebody's Heartbreak ⇦ Looks so much like King Joffrey ♫ Sugarland - Settlin' / It Happens / Something More ♪ Travis Tritt - It's a Great Day to Be Alive And if you're into stuff that's a lil' more moody ♫ The Band Perry - If I Die Young ♪ Miranda Lambert - The House That Built Me ♫ Kacey Musgraves - Merry Go 'Round ♪ Jace Everett - Bad Things ♫ Lee Brice - I Drive Your Truck ♪ Brad Paisley - Whiskey Lullaby ♫ Sugarland - Stay I told you guys I like sharing music :T The danger is I love so much of it ffff ~ ♥
Spectre 829 Posted March 9, 2014 Keep on sharing, hun. Any music goes. Country too, we could use a change once in awhile. And speaking of oldies... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtFBRJFN3p8
Quasi 54 Posted March 9, 2014 I never noticed the song was in English until I had finished the season lol. Love 0:57+
Paddy 77 Posted March 9, 2014 I've had this song stuck in my head this past week and only now got round to listening to it. These guys are probably one of my favourite bands. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr2vix8rNfg

53 Posted March 9, 2014 You can't really go wrong with Gorillaz. Personally, I think they'd have been a much better match for Bruno Mar's halftime show than the RHCP.
Paddy 77 Posted March 10, 2014 I like Gorillaz. They are incredibly awesome, but Feel Good Inc. is a song I no longer like due to it being massively over-played. Everywhere. Radio and TV is notorious for killing music.
Rudolfus 3 Posted March 10, 2014 Badass soundtrack time: As flawed a series as Naruto is, its OST is in my personal top 5.
+ Shack_Keeper 30 Posted March 10, 2014 If you want good music and super clean animation look no futher that, The Pillows" and FLCL. I still remember picking this bad boy up in Akibahara, the day it was released.
53 Posted March 10, 2014 I wanted to refrain from posting any video game soundtracks, but I figured with Metal Gear coming out next week, why not give everyone a lil' taste of it's always amazing soundtrack (featuring the equally amazing Donna Burke). There's not a lot of video game soundtracks I listen to casually. Aion, Ragnarok Online, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear and the Katamari franchises' OSTs being the few acceptations.

Spectre 829 Posted March 13, 2014 I like Gorillaz. They are incredibly awesome, but Feel Good Inc. is a song I no longer like due to it being massively over-played. Everywhere. Radio and TV is notorious for killing music. It's quite ironic, really. Gorillaz originally set out to prove that pop music merely went along lines of repetitive trash, and sought to create a higher order of music that retained its own populist roots, yet adopted a unique style. But here it is dominating radio charts. But since you've reminded me, here's another one of their top hits that I like. A lot more relaxing than the rest, and good stuff to listen to when imagining you're diving deep in an ocean, urinating on various sea creatures.

53 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) Couldn't think of what to post (actually, I just couldn't decide). I suggest we start goin' by themes heh Wish they had a good clean ver. on Youtube because an elephant trumpet and cat meowing is so much better than just saying 'p****' and 'p****'. Clean versions of songs are usually better anyway, since there's usually a little bit more creativity thrown into the mix :T (except for YG's 'My Nigga' ...that edit came out pretty awful lol) If you wanna play along then the theme for this round is: Top Charts. Play your favorite song of what's currently popular on the radio/net/tv/etc. Theme is up to change after like 3 posts or whatever...loose rules/anythin' goes. It's just for fun anyway. Play if you want, don't if you don't. There are A LOT of great songs out now, but I decided since there's been no rap/r&b/hip hop, Jason Derulo it is. 'Say Something' by AGBW is great too, and I almost posted Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse' video just because it's so damn beautiful. Spectre 829 Posted March 14, 2014 Oh dear. This song reminds me of the privates dancing around in the barracks back in my camp. I mean the people... privates. Not the other kind. But it might as well be.

53 Posted March 14, 2014 I haven't heard any other TDCC songs other than 'What You Know' on the radio; which is a great song. Okay, so you guys aren't into mainstream music then x: I get that. How about another theme: songs that make you cry/good depressing songs? I was going to post Demi's Skyscraper, but I wanted to do her live performance on AGT from a few years back (not that I don't love the official music video), but there was a min of fluff before it and the '1m6s' doesn't work when the vid is embedded. So instead I picked Joni Mitchell. I highly suggest you still check out Demi's song below, it's one of my favorite live performances ever. [ ♪ Demi Lovato - Skyscraper ♫ ] Honorable mentions: Lupe Fiasco - 'The Show Goes On', Duffy - 'Warwick Avenue' (amazing video, big fav), Jewel - 'Hands', Frankmusik - 'Dance the Way I Feel', Nico - 'These Days', Mariah Carey - 'Bye Bye', Dispatch - 'The General'. Are just some songs that can squeeze a tear/I like to listen to when I'm in one of those 'I want to drink wine and be depressed' moods :T Also I totally forgot about that song from FLCL, Shack! Thanks for posting. lol you're post was actually what inspired me to post the Metal Gear song above, because I thought I remembered one of the bands in MGS3 being called The Pillows, but it was a song called Pillow Talk. Oops x: Note: I think it's awesome Disney got Demi Lovato to do the official cover version of Frozen's 'Let it Go'. Very mature move by Disney. It couldn't fit anyone more perfectly. ~ ♥

Or "Breaking News" by Machine Gun Kelly (MGK)? The MGK one is awesome in particular, imo. Here's mine. Gas Pedal. : ))) Not sure if it's on the charts, it's semi-oldish. You've prolly heard it? I enjoy a bit of Maroon 5 and Deadmau5 alongside other obscure artists. But at the end of the day, I made this thread to expose ourselves to a wider range of music, and to make a group collective to show how diverse our forumites can be. With that in mind, some actual chillout music.
