Unique Job System

Recommended Posts

Greetings everyone!

I've spent a lot of time the past two days doing a lot of research for a job system script that fits what I need. I've found "job" or "class" systems from Yanfly and Blackmorning, while they both do what I want, they don't do "everything" I would like.

My idea is to have 4 main characters to use in the game. I have a list of jobs I'd like for the player to choose from. What I would like to happen is the character's to have a basic class. This will drive the characters base stats. Other stats will come with gear.

For example, character 1 has a base STR of 10 and from armor, another 10 STR for a total of 20 STR. So now we have 20 STR prior to picking a job, lets keep this in mind.

Now, I want the jobs to drive the spells and abilities as well as have a stat modifier with them. So let's make a job a Templar that gives a 4x bonus to strength as well as some Templar spells. Once the player chooses this job, they would then have 80 STR as well as the Templar skill set.

Now I know Yanfly's class/subclass system kinda does this, but there is no modifier to stats by a % in which I would like. Blackmorning's script however does have a modifier, but gives the character "titles" which grants the stat bonuses. However the script does not handle skill sets.

The "job" class can have a separate level than the characters base class. This way the character can grow in base strength, but the class has to grow to unlock the skills etc.

So there may be a script out there that does the above best of both works and I just haven't found it yet or maybe someone knows a good combination of scripts I can use to pull this off.

Yanfly's Class: http://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/core-scripts/class-system/

TL;DR

I'm looking for a script that gives a character a base class to give base stats. The player can choose a second class or "job" that gives stat modifiers by % and spells / abilities based on the job selected. Character needs to keep initial level separate from the job level.
