ZeroJunior777 0 Posted March 23, 2014 Ok, so I have been working on a new project for the past two weeks with vx ace lite. Today I decided to go hang out with a friend of mine. So I closed the program, and turned off my laptop. I come back home 4 hours later and try to boot up rpg maker vx ace lite, and a window pops up that says "Failed to load skill data" and my entire project is gone. I checked the program folder and it's still there and everything, but whenever I try to load it, it gives me the same message and refuses to work. Anyone know how to fix this? + LadyMinerva 998 Posted March 23, 2014 I can think of something. Go into the "Data" folder of your project and delete the "Skills" data, u can replace it with another "skills" data from a new project. It is a tough loss because it means your "skills" data is corrupted, you'll have to start all over to create a new skills database. Hope this helps! If not, then reply here! Tip: You should create a backup file of your project to avoid something like that, I know a lot of people that have this.
Tsarmina 2,612 Posted March 24, 2014 Hi ZeroJunior, please don't forget to tag your topic, thank you ^-^ Try copying all the data first with a little hope the Skills might return--otherwise you'll just have to start the skills over in a new game with copied other files. :x
