HK's Scripts to VXAce and other scripts [Conversion]

Hi there. I asked a permission from Hanzo Kimura to have his scripts be converted to ACE, and he agreed. As long as people give credit to him.

These are the scripts I want to be ported:

HK VS Animated Title - Hanzo Kimura

HK Lifeline System - Hanzo Kimura

HK VS Custom Menu - Hanzo Kimura

HK Advance Equipment System - Hanzo Kimura, KGC

HK Inventory System - Hanzo Kimura, KGC

HK Lifeline System Rewrite - IceDragon

 

We can say that it's already A BIT solved. Darcangel has made them for ACE as well. But I am not certain if it includes all the features.

Hanzo Kimura has said that he won't upload the open source anymore and show it to the public. But I can still give it to you, provided that you want to convert the scripts and you're a scripter yourself. I will send it to you by private message.

Isn't that HELL of a work to do? ruby v.3 Coding is ALL different than Ruby v.2 as used in RPGmVX... RPGmVXA uses ruby 3... so....

Good luck finding someone to change it to RPG maker VX Ace.

lol that's why I am requesting it to be converted. I know it takes a helluva time, and of course I'm expecting it would be finished after a few months, so this, I can wait. While I'm at it, I just added some other scripts so other people can also see them and might have the idea of converting them XD

Yeaah, I understand... Actually, I am working on HK's Life Line system :P Not sure still if I release it.. (it will be really similar to HK's one.)

Is there any chance you can fix/enlarge your screenshots? They're too small for me to make anything out.

 

As for the scripts you want converted, there might be a few that have already been done (either as an actual conversion or as a standalone effort). You might want to peruse the Master Script List, as I swear that I might've seen a few of the scripts that you're requesting in some form at some point.

 

EDIT: It would also help if you could link to the older scripts for those who don't want to download the demo of that game just to fulfill the conversion requests, seeing how you have quite a load on your hands.

That is quite a big undertaking. Depending on the scripts (can't say I've actually looked at them), it sometimes ends up a case of rewriting rather than converting/porting them.

 

But I agree with Nohta, you should check the Master Script List, and try using the search for some of them. You may find they've already been converted - or at least find something similar.

 

Simply searching for my name probably would have found you one of your conversions from the second list ;)

My guess it is easier to code new ones rather then porting them. Thats what I did when I "ported" my scripts. Anyways, good luck finding someone that will do all of these requests. :P

What I did was simply paste them here. So I have actually no idea what's in the 'others' scripts I posted XD Thanks anyway

Yeah people actually re-wrote them from the beginning so... I think others can also re-write them? XD

 

EDIT:

And if someone can, please make them compatible with Victor's Animated BAttle script, it's for everyone XD

Looking at your revised OP, I'm starting to like what I see. Considering that I should have most of my stuff in place by now, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

 

Anyway, looking at what's left on your lower-priority list, here's what I know of that might be similar to what you're asking for (it's hard to figure out when I don't know what each script does, but I'm going to try my best to guesstimate).

 

-YSA Patch System by Yami

-Map Saver by Omegas7 (converted by Yami) (check the spoiler in post #3)

-There are a handful KGC scripts around (now known as KMS), but I'm not sure which ones you need, specifically. Minimap, Generic Gauge, and Cursor Animation are the first ones that come to mind, but I'm sure there are a few more.

-I thought I saw a particle effect script around here somewhere, but now I don't remember what it was called or who wrote it...

 

I thought I could find a few more than that, but... *shrug* That's all I can dig up for now.

 

EDIT: I hate the WYSIWYG interface sometimes. Removed some extra spaces.

I did it like 2 months ago.

 

 

heres a movie of the menu, equip screen, itens and etc.

 

I didnt converted I made it from zero, but its the same:

And the life-line dont need anything it works perfectly on ACE

 

The animated title screen seens easy... but I think there is some alike script out there.

will you be releasing your copies? the title screen is better than whats available out there to be honest. Because of the amounts of customizable items.

@darcangel: wow, looks amazing! have you the lifeline system works in the battle? do you plan to post it? i would like to use some of these scripts, but i don't know if them are exclusive... :) you've done an excellent job!

@thedybre, the life-line should work on the battles too, because its a new class, you just need to call it while in battle

I havent try yet becauser I am waiting for the ENu translation

I made this script for a expecific game,but I want to released it too,

the problem is it is very hard to costumize, so to make it noob-friendly will take a lot of time...

 

and I kind lost the interest on the ACE when a lot of ppl started hating the ENU,and talking crap and scarring whoever wanted to translated it (the only reason I am waitng to go back to ACE)

You're right bout that, some guys don't like the tankentai battle system, but it's a robust system and it's very functional and customizable! I like tankentai too... i hope you continue working on scripts for ace :)

That looks good. Don't feed the noobs though. A Lot of people know how to use them. If the noobs want to, then let them study on their own. Can you send me a demo please? I want to try it ^^

 

And it looks like you converted them. It's still the same if you re-wrote it. Good job though! If you release them you'll be pretty famous here. Damn, a lot of Portuguese-speaking scripters are good. :D

 

And to all, they hate Tankentai, maybe because it's more famous than their work? loljk XD Some though, and it's more noob-friendly and such. Easy to customise.

 

I am sure noobs will get confused by this. All of those in your video were pre-made pictures that were put in the Graphics-> System folder right? XD They need to make their own WAHAHA

yes the script need images on a folder,

1 background

1 model for where the face of the character will show(only one)

and 1 of each word, ( the color change and blinking is made by script)

 

but the equip, and item screens, needs a few more images than that

 

And I am a noob script3r

it is easy to do a script, the hard part is make it customizable by anyone on any game.

Yep. I have those things. For example, you need to have a lot of pictures for the timeline. In the equip, you need a background with a character in it which shows the item slots etc. And for those Part, Item, Abilities, system etc. in the main menu, you need a separate image for them. I have them all ^^

I actually still have the open source that Hanzo made public fora while with all the scripts if anyone wants those to try to convert those ones.
