yoshine 7 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) Hey, so I've been working on this game for likkkkkke two years or atleast it's engine I'm yet to start working with story line but my demo is almost done I'm not giving much info just looking for some judging on the maps and menus and stuff just cause Adverage maps Menus and battle Upper levels of the tower/ surrealist maps OH and mind me the paralaxes are all animated so these don't really do justice to the weapons of mass epilepsy that's going on Edited June 3, 2014 by yoshine 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
silversteampunk 8 Posted July 7, 2014 Dude, I LOVE the terrifying trippyness of the surrealist maps. It's a little hard to critique seeing these out of game, I thinking seeing them in game might give me a better idea of what's going on. I really like the icons you have on the menu. The first maps, the average ones, look very nice!!! The only thing that's a little confusing is the clouds. I REALLY like the 5th and 7th surrealist maps!!! This is definitely original I think!! I think one suggestion is sometimes I know people's brains can get overstimulated and need "breaks" in order to be able to fully take in everything. (that's something I've been told I need to work on in my art) But I REALLY like what you've done!! + Brackev 66 Posted July 11, 2014 That is some crazy stuff you have going on there. Where to begin? The font is on the hard-to-read side due to the low-rez of VXAce. It really needs to be scaled up a little to make it easier to read. Also, in battle-your charactors are not facing the enemy and the enemy isn't facing them. One of them needs to be rotated. yoshine 7 Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) ahhhhhh not to post super late or anything (I had no clue this EVER got anything) but I don't see where the characters are facing the wrong way .-.(unless maybe your mean the jester monster? I've heard that about the font before I really want to get something along the lines of a 8-16 bit kind of looking one with a gritty look it is a little jumbly I could only find some many that fits the need >_> something kind of inspired by that old GBA look maybe? yeah I hadn't thought about that with the clouds persay but yeah they can be a little be distracting Really I've been wanting to get as much intensity in as possible with alot of parralax tricks to give a real otherworldly beyond realistic kind of look the setting of the game is set in a tower where the further up you get the higher of a plane of existense you are in until you reach like a god head.. I haven't really had time since summer to mess with things I do have a quasi alpha demo done but I have a verrrrry intricate vission for it so its not something that could be done righhhht away, the bones are there but it still needs all the story (which mind me is indeffinitely repeating with multiple endings) thanks though guys I didn't think I'd hear anything Edited November 20, 2014 by yoshine Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
RetroExcellent 369 Posted November 20, 2014 I think what they meant about your batthe sprites are that the enemies are made for the default front view system and the characters are meant for the side view, it is a bad combination.
