Aiya... I really don't want to do this...

CorneredCosmos left me a message, and it's not good, guys.
His internet is gone, and he decided to cancel Tears of the Sky...   I'm so sorry.   Artists, coders, fans, supporters...

I don't know why he told ME of all people, but...

I wish I could say this is a joke, but alas, it's not.  .___.
He said to tell you that he's lost faith in his project and that "By the time they read this It'll all be gone."

I'm sorry I was the one who had to deliver this... :/    Please don't kill me too much. ._.

Man... that really sucks. I was looking forward to this project a lot. But life comes up and I know people get discouraged... Still... I'll miss the project and the concept of it, as it seemed really cool.

Oh my... too many projects are getting discouraged... :( You were working hard on it and it just suddenly cuts the circuit too short, I'm very sorry about this...

Noooo....you've been working so hard on it! :( It's turning out so beautifully.

Well, I'll lock the thread for him, I guess...:c If CorneredCosmos ever wants it re-opened, just PM me! ><

EDIT: Haha never mind, opening at request :)

THank you all for your concern. After what felt like years of being isolated (No phone, internet or any means of communication)within a place, I have been reinvigorated to continue life as normal. Which means starting up the project once more! : D

Thank you raining jelly!

We're searching for early demo testers to help kill off any missed bugs. PM me if interested in testing it out.

I gave the demo a try. Here's what happened:

- As soon as I left the initial map and entered Skyview town the game started lagging - A LOT.

- The little girl insisted that I speak to her father, so I went looking for him. His wife said he is in the room on the left, so I went to his room... or at least I tried to, because the door on the left is locked. Turns out the door has nothing to do with it, and I just need to keep going left - but the only hint I got for that is the rug.

- I made it to the combat tutorial... and promptly got killed by the rat. I mean, 300+ damage with each rat bite. Really? What's more, many of my attacks did nothing because I was a few pixels too far from the rat. End result: I got killed, and I didn't even get a proper "game over" - instead I got stuck on (what I assume is) the game over map, with the screen constantly fading out and then back in

- The next few attempts resulted in at least one character getting killed by the rat. Eventually I won with no losses, only to discover that I don't even get a heal after the tutorial, so each character was left at below 150 HP

- Now I'm trying to win the fight using skills. How do I remove a skill once I have equipped it, anyway?

I give up. If the tutorial fight is this much trouble the regular enemies will slaughter me. It seems like a game I would have enjoyed, but the combat system is not for me (at the very least the rat needs to do damage comparable to that of the characters instead of 10 times more).

I chose Normal. I thought Normal difficulty should be fine.

The whole skills thing is rather confusing. There are seven slots for skills: Green paw symbol, green left and right arrows, green down arrow, red paw symbol with a yellow A on top, red left and right arrows with As on top of each, red down arrow with an A on top and red up arrow with an A on top. I assume those symbols mean something, but what?

By the way, is there any way to go back to the main menu and load a saved game?

P.S.: Which skill do you mean by "sword wave"? My characters have no skill with that name.

Okay, thanks for the explanation. I recommend adding that to the tutorial, preferably with pictures.

Anyway, I tried the demo on easy, so now rats do 100 to 150 damage instead of 300. Even so I got slaughtered on a semi-regular basis. Dubai's thunder takes a few seconds to cast, and if I am unlucky enough the enemies can kill him before he finishes casting.

Eventually, after gaining a few levels and getting a party of four, the battles have become relatively easy. Apart from various typos no issues seen. I'll comment more when I finish the demo.
