After nearly two weeks straight of parallax mapping, I've finally made some serious progress in terms of the demo's maps and backgrounds. Working on the second to last area now (I get them finished at a rate of about 2 every 3 days).

 

Hope everyone will take a glance at the Facebook page too, support and likes are hugely appreciated!

 

The screenshots are of Verdamm's Outskirts region.

Looks nice. I love the street/railroad light graphics, as well as the terrain itself. The smooth transitions it has really makes it look natural. (sometimes I really have to catch myself from getting into parallax mapping. If I was only a full fledged mapper, I'd personally have the time, but since I'm not... *sigh*)

 

The custom foliage is great and will make your game stand out, same with it's sprite design. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll have a great looking full length rpg in no time.

Indeed, this has a very style of its own. I like every detail of it.  :) You're pretty good with the shadows/shading. lol It makes me want to parallax map again but since my maps are already close to being done and that they are made with an RTP style, I have to break the urge lol. Very well done with your maps overall!  ^_^ I suppose you use GIMP for this?

I use Photoshop actually, I got it free with an art tablet and decided to make the most of it.

 

At this stage of the demo's development it's especially nice to get such positive feedback, so thank you one and all.
