grandmadeb 285 Posted April 10, 2012 VX~~Under the Sea Compilation~~ACE One of the areas of interest which I have observed over the years is for undersea tilesets. And although some methods of mapping underwater scenes, such as fogs and tints, can look nice, there are not really very many good resources readily available. So once again Granny has been gathering up everything she can find, and is posting it here (or linking it here, if she does not have permission to repost, because Grannies always respect original artists!) But Granny has also been busily frankenspriting and editing, and realises that she could get so much more done with community help. So here is the BIG IDEA! Some of you may have seen the "What about Ralph?" thread at RPGMakerVX.net, or perhaps the Portrait template thread, in which some materials were posted, and then various artists continued to contribute to the theme. All materials posted were considered to be offered under the assumption that they could be used with the other materials in the set, with proper credits of course. So here is my suggestion. How about we work on expanding this themed set together. If you have great idea, suggest it or make it. If a great idea has been suggested, and you will make it, post that you are starting it so we don't duplicate efforts. Let's see what we can come up with! In the meantime, we have many nice materials and links to materials to start our compilation with! Custom, just for this compilation, Kalez presents his underwater chests... grandmadeb 285 Posted April 13, 2012 Yep, there are different styles represented here. One thing to remember is that underwater mapping in VX is approached very differently by different users. Some folks tint the whole screen after they make a parallax background with a few brightly colored events, and some just make a vegetation-free stone city and add a lot of algae and a watery fog.
