parallax image is only black

Hi everyone

I'm trying to use animated parallax by modern algebra and I have imported the images I'm using, but when I test the game the background is only black and the character can't move. This issue remained when I tried to use Yanfly Engine Ace instead (without any animations). I can't figure out why or what I'm doing wrong (I've looked at a few tutorials and followed them but it still doesn't work), anyone who can help me?
