Things you hate in the Frontal Battle System

Recommended Posts

Well when the frontal system has too many frames going on it's too much like a SBS system but from the front.

The dynamic camera @soulpour looked pretty cool, would be something I would need to implement or suggest.

I know Moghunter did a script for normal, attacking, damaged monsters.

But yeah as above poster mentioned, one of the bigger hurdles is art resources although if you are going commercial, you should seriously considering getting unique assets commissioned.

That and the fact that IF we even get as far as completing a game, we'd need it to be a workable size or very few people will download it.

And as far as RPG Maker is concerned, this is an engine made for hobbyists.

Most of us are quite happy rolling out a game that only takes a month or two to put together.

It would not be possible to do that if we had to find visuals that were unique to our games that don't stretch our wallets too far past the point of entry.

(Ask anyone who actually TRIED to put together original stuff for any of the more visually intense battle scripts available.)

So, while I'd love to have a visual system more like most Final Fantasy games before 11 or the Mana series, I'm happy just being about to put something together that I can enjoy (and hopefully get others to enjoy as well.)

I don't mind front view, so long as the game is well balanced and offers more than a simple hack and slash approach, but for me to really take it seriously, it needs something added to the default.

Yanfly has some real easy to use plug in scripts that can easily modify the front view into something more appealing. And while these do get overused, it's still a start, and a simple enough one that most people can easily use.

Yes. I suppose we still want to see the default being modified a little bit to get away from what we already have. Yanfly scripts offered us good and easy to use battle huds, mechanics and other functions that mostly had been lacking on the original FBS of Ace. Though I was just wondering why they never retained many of RMXP's functions, such as the Damage Pop-Up and Battlers. It was one of the most important things I can say was lacking on the FBS for Ace.

If I were a player of a game made in RMVXAce and the game uses FBS, I would like to at least see the battlers of my characters, or faces.

I think we can confirm on this one that one of the things we need to see on a front view battle system are the visuals.

If you're searching another UI than Yangly, I suggest you to take a look I this list that I compiled : LINK

They can be used either for FBS or SBS like Yanfly script but not all of them or compatible friendly like Yanfly.
