exzanorxis 1 Posted October 27, 2014 Hello! I'm working seriously on a non-commercial project so I might use these tiles depending on the replies, or look for an artist to help me with those. Anyway, this is my first time making tiles by myself and I would like some opinions about them. I will separate some questions (just answer if interested, but I still would like to hear your opinion about these ^^) 1- Do you think it blends with the ambient? 2- Do you think I should ask a real artist for help instead of using my own sets? 3- Some of those were edited from the original files. Does it still blend with the ambient? PS.: Clock, wardrobe, book shelf, blue book, walls, bed, purple bear, and tiles under breakfast table were edited from rtp files Menu screen. This image is part of the story and I don't wanna spoil it, so just let me know if it looks bad, in terms of quality, or if is it ok like this. I tried editing the original rtp bed to fit more in the house design. PS.: The door is put there like that on purpose. I'm working on making it side ways, with opening and closing animation. Just showing a bit of how does it look when used in a project. I'm really new to forums and tried to follow all rules. I'm sorry if there's something wrong. Peace v
Alt Jack 6 Posted October 27, 2014 1. No 2. Maybe 3. Kinda The edges are too hard/thick. Soft edges blend into the environment better.
Izu. 239 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) The furniture and kitchen appliances colors are a little out of place, I suggest you use a RTP color palette. As well as what Alt Jack said, the edges are much to dark and don't blend to well. As you can see the lines around the cabinets are very dark and should at least have some transparency to them. Other than that though, I say it looks good. ^^ Edited October 27, 2014 by Izu.
