KainLightsworn 63 Posted December 14, 2014 Well hello there RPG Maker world. My name's KainLightsworn, but you can call me Kain for short. Or Light. Or whatever you want, really. Just not late for dinner/rehearsal. I'm currently a senior musical theatre major in college- which will account for some of my tendencies to go 'poof' off the face of the forums for certain months, as my schedule is insanely packed. (If all goes well, I graduate next semester. Which is exciting and also really scary.) Using RPG Maker has been mostly a hobby for me, something I've done off and on over the years. I have a really bad case of idea ADD, so I have this horrible habit of jumping from project to project as boredom strikes, but I have one project to which I seem to continually return- Ad Lucem. It is for this project a lot of my musical postings in this forum will appear, even though it's more an XP project than a VX Ace one. Though that is potentially subject to change. RPG Maker, for me, tends to be more of a medium through which I can put into practice two things I really love doing: writing and composing music. I've always loved game/soundtrack type music, so working on my own is a really fulfilling and rewarding experience for me. And writing has always been a delight to me. Writing in the context of fantasy just makes me really happy. I was fairly active on the RPG Maker VX forums before they went down. I'm still kind of sad about that, as I took a break and came back to find the site gone. But I'm hoping a bit more action can happen here while time is still a thing I have in my schedule. Writing's mainly where my body of work sits at the moment, but I am trying my best to get some blasted game projects out there in the ether where people can see them. I just got crazy inspiration for one of my main party members' personal side quests. I should probably write that idea down before it goes away, frankly...
