Hi RandomGamer,

Thank you for sharing your creation! It has a very tense atmosphere, and makes me think of a wild-eyed, weary protagonist being backed into the corner of a dark room by all his worst nightmares.

To use this track in a game, I'd be more inclined to use it outside of combat, somewhere that I want to add a lot of tension or suspense.  Probably just before a major battle or other climactic event.

You could turn it into a combat track by adding a couple of elements. Right now I'd say it has atmosphere but no drive. You need to add something to give it some rhythmic interest. There are a couple of ways you can do this:

Adding a bass line would help propel the piece forward and give it some energy, also some lower frequencies to fill up the spectrum.

The other important addition you could make is some accented, syncopated hits. This would add more energy to the track, and make it sound more immediately dangerous.  Right now I'd say it's threatening, but not immediately dangerous.  Keep this track for sure, it would sound great to use this to set up the battle scene, and then break into your full-bore battle track that keeps the same chromatic motif you use here.

One other very important thing, especially with combat music, is that it loops well. Try to end it in such a way that the track can seamlessly start anew without the player noticing.

I hope that helps a bit, let me know if this is useful, and definitely share your updated track!  I'm excited to hear where you take it from here.
