Q: What is The Pantheon? A: It's sort of an all-in-one art thread, where every forum user can and will have access to: Browsing our collaborated works and request new ones Look up links to huge archives of tutorials, all compressed into one thread for easy reference Browse through some of the top artists' pages on the forum and easily locate them for commissions Shamelessly advertise ourselves through the entire forum Provide comments for artwork submitted Collaborate with our in-house artists for interesting works Q: There already is an art forum. Why not keep it that way? A: The Pantheon can give more detailed information about each artist's specializations and niches, which allows us to cater more easily to whoever's requesting, say, steampunk or fairyland resources. This also saves time on the requestor's behalf since he can more easily locate the artist. The same rules apply for those looking for comments, but can't find the right place to do so, or their threads get ignored. The Pantheon is an all-in-one art hive for everyone looking for the right artist for the right set of resources. Q: What are the terms and conditions for using works in The Pantheon? A: All works submitted to The Pantheon are covered under individual creative licensing, and are to only be used for display purposes, unless specified otherwise. That being said, all collaborative work will be watermarked with the Pantheon's logo. Q: How do I become an Olympian? A: At the moment, we are currently not accepting any new Olympians. However, should you be interested, please PM Spectre for more information. 1800-CALL-OLYMPIAN The following is a list of commitments that our Olympians currently have, and a tracker for all of The Pantheon's current projects. Please also note that individual Olympians are subject to their own rules and regulations regarding commissioned or collaborative work: Collaborative Piece - 4v4 Fight (Participants: Blu, Spec, Tsar, namio, Bugs, NH97, Amy, Sessie) Miniature Collab (Switch Around) (Participants: Theo, Sessie, Allu, Bugs, Amy, Spec) Collaborative Piece - Big and Little Bear (Participants: NH97, Spec) The following are Requests pending Olympians undertaking tasks by individual users. The status of the Requests are also displayed below: N/A (as of 13 January 2015)Should you need any of our in-house artists (Olympians) for anything, please read the following rules and regulations: Request Priority All requests or commission offers taken via the Pantheon will allow the requester to choose up to 3 different artists. The following information is to be provided on The Pantheon in one post. PMs to Spectre for other artists' Requests will not be entertained. Name Type of Request (e.g. Commission, Request, Tutorial, Collaboration) Requested Artists Additional Details Contact Information Each request will be placed on the first page of The Pantheon, with the following markers: Pending: This means that an artist has not expressed interest in taking up the commission/request. A time limit will also be given to show that the request will immediately be rejected at that point of time. Rejected: Rejected requests will be listed here. This is to dissuade people from making multiple requests for rejected material, or persuade them to switch artists. Accepted: The commission/request has been taken, and will be underway. The artist undertaking the project will also be listed. Completed: Scheduled for deletion. For instance, sexyboy69 wants to commission a piece of artwork from the following: Bugs, namio, NH97. The request will be placed on the page with the tag Pending. Bugs will then have 5 days, from the time the request was made, to accept the request publicly on The Pantheon. Should she reject/miss the deadline, namio will have 5 days; following that, NH97. If any of the artists accept, details are to be discussed via PM with the respective artists, and the status of the request will be changed to Accepted. Should all of them reject, the request will be placed on Rejected, and the requester cannot make the same request, to any of the same 3 artists, for the next 28 days. This is to prevent spamming of requests. Therefore, sexyboy69 cannot make the same request to Bugs, Spectre and Tsarmina, but he can make the same request to Allusion, Spectre and Tsarmina. Moreover, artists who are closed for Commissions/Requests/Collaborations it is will instantly Reject any requests made to them, thereby passing on the acceptance offer to the next artist in line. This makes it easier to process information and requests to the respective artists. Support The Pantheon! Edited April 9, 2015 by Spectre

NH97 144 Posted January 25, 2015 @Bugs A lil bit late reply isn't this ._." sorry.... And Of course! I would be honored to see yours tutorial sensei!!!! Im actually really curious how you blend the color (on the skin, cloth,) so smoothly O_O Even though i tried use your brush, i still can't manage myself >_> @Spec Don't worry! Your own life is the first priority! Make sure to take care of yourself and don't FALL SICK SIR! @Knight Doodlesnickers Da' Master Van ci'
When Bugs Roam Ur House 656 Posted January 26, 2015 It's okay, it's only been two days. xD Plus i'm only replying now as well. But xDDD!!! O.O Well thanks a lot for the compliment, though i think i am fine with the name WBRUH/Bugs. xDD I will try my best to write the tutorial. As for the blending/brushes, something that may help you is that i start with a medium-dark base colour. : ) For highlighting, i pick a colour similar to the light source with the (medium) acrylic brush; then i draw a short, flat line over the base coat, and sample an appropriate-seeming colour from the gradient that forms. I use only this sampled colour to highlight the object/lighter parts. (I will explain why in the tutorial) Then i use the "water" tool, or (soft) acrylic brush to smooth out any rough patches. : ) For shading, i use the "Airbrush" or (medium) acrylic brush. Then i smooth things out if needed. This is all just how i use the brush(es) though, so it's perfectly okay if there's other methods that suit you better. But i use the "water" and "Airbrush" tools a lot.
NH97 144 Posted February 5, 2015 @Bugs Sensei Do you use SAI or Photoshop? (i never asked aren't i.....) My way of painting right now, goes this way, Flat color ------> Put some shade on the Flat Color using Brush ------> Then i create a new layer (Clipping) and start doing a kinda Hard shaded + Soft? maybe lol using a combination of Brush+Water+Sometimes Pen -------> Finally put the lightning with the same layer by using Brush+Pen and soften it with Water Tho i don't know if this a good way, but im quite comfortable with it! I use Sai. Photoshop occasionally at the end for a filter. And maybe this isn't the answer you're hoping for, or maybe this sounds cheesy, but you will find what you like as time passes. Only you will know what you honestly, really want for yourself. There is no "good" or "bad" way to do something. You are the only one who is doing your process and you can only get better. EDIT: LOL sensei again O.O

Mrs.Bugs........ wow, i have a really gross name.............. xDDD ( o___o) I imagine a woman with that name and just think of a really weird lady in a cottage with cockroaches everywhere. where did i even get this idea from Wow, glad i could make you feel better! I have a habit of getting extremely impatient too. Screw waiting for hot food to cool down. Something that helps me when my painting doesn't look right is looking at real-life references. Even if it doesn't work for the picture i'm working on, it can at least help me do better next time. \o/ I use multiple layers. I use one for just the base, and make a new one for wrinkles/ shading. Then i add layers as i add details.
Spectre 829 Posted February 6, 2015 OMG. I'm laughing so hard at the Mrs. Bugs and the Senseis XD. Can totally imagine a cockroach cottage or something with a little old lady painting, and this brownish green aura coming off of he- I digress. Funny enough, I actually use a single layer for each material type - skin, eyes, hair, inner and outerwear. Really ought to get into the habit of doing highlight and multiply layers (sorry, Photoshop talk here) but I find that if I do make changes I can adjust the smoothness of the blending a lot more easily, at the expense of more time spent to correct major mistakes. On a side note, I think my sensei joke has gone too far, XD

Spectre 829 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Alright, general public, listen up: Pertaining to an earlier blog post, I'll be doing up both a Weapons and Armor Tutorial. It'll most likely be in multiple parts, with about 3 sessions for armors and 6 for weapons. Please note that these tutorials are intended, optimally, for intermediate-level artists, at minimum, with the following pre-requisites (while these aren't compulsory to join the sessions, there will be less time allocated to explaining basic topics): Human Proportion and Figure Drawing Light Sources & Shading Basic Character Design Perspective A graphic tablet or similar digital art implements are not required, as there will not be any practical sessions during the tutorial. For those who do not meet the pre-requisites, you are welcome to listen in during the sessions and learn as much as you can; however, when planning session timings, priority will be given to recognized artists on the forum. The following is a possible list of topics covered: Armor Tutorial Basics of Armor and Layering Techniques (Concept) Leather Texturing Metal Texturing & Sheen Engraving, Embossing and Trimming Stylizing Armor Designs Weapons Tutorial Basics of Weapon Design and Wielding (Concept) Medieval Weaponry & Proportions Metal Texturing & Sheen Stylizing Weapon Designs Dynamic Poses with Weapons Modern Weaponry (to be confirmed) Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be a total of 10 slots per session, excluding myself. If you guys could indicate when you'd be available during the following, I can arrange for a session to be made, ASAP. 26th February (Thursday), 9 PM EST 27th February (Friday), 10 PM EST 28th February (Saturday), 9 PM EST 6th March (Friday), 9 PM EST 7th March (Saturday), 9 PM EST Edited February 14, 2015 by Spectre
