'Stealing' only successful on killing attack

Hello!

 

I have looked high and low for this - there's a number of scripts for a stealing skill that will let you steal items/gold/skills from enemies, but I can't find anything that would make it ONLY be successful if the 'steal' move kills the enemy.

 

I'm not actually going to call it stealing. I have leatherworking crafting in my game, and I want a skinning skill where a character with the skinning ability uses that ability during battle and IF that attack kills the enemy then they successfully 'steal' a type of leather or hide. I am not using active battlers on the maps, so there's no corpse event to loot or skin afterwards.

 

Is there anything like this? If there is, can someone point me at it, please?

What about going around it this way?

Using this script. That script allows to add an extra drop to enemies, which is conditional.

You could make make your Skinning skill to have a specific element and enemies would drop/have chance at dropping the skin if it was killed that specific element.
