You're really off to a very nice start at the art of parallax. :) One thing though is that the grey cliffs you're using has that water border around it and it looks funny with the greyed areas. But I understand that it is a work in progress so I won't say much until that map is finished :3 You can parallax the trees on the greyed cliffs since their roots are staggering out the cliff edges.

 

That's it for now, All I know is that you're putting some more effort to the project so I'm happy about that though~ ^-^

@LadyMinerva, Yeah, I've done some work on it since then. The wntire map's been parallaxed.  Here's an ingame screenshot.  The fog gets thicker and thinner! (No video just yet. Still have to perfect that)

Nice work, I can't wait to play it. It looks really awesome. I expecially love the work u put into the art work, sprites and basically everything, Keep up the excellent work. I can't wiat for more updates

I'm wrapping up, finalizing, and cleaning up things for the first official demo. I'm so excited I'm nearly screaming.

I am shooting for SEVEN DAYS FROM NOW for an official demo release. I shall throw a stream party!

 

I'll also be looking for playtesters and recruiting some people soon. If you're what I'm looking for I'll accept you as a playtester! :D

 

Gameplay is now solid, all I need to do is flesh out the game design and add 500 more guards, maids, and possessed citizens to make you all pull out your hair  and add more characters, decorations and last-minute pretties for the demo. 

 

Maybe throw in a few teaser voice acting lines and sounds, hm? Maybe? We'll see... :)

Full voice acting sounds really interesting as well as rest of the content here!

Great job! I'll definitely play the demo when it will come out and if I find me some free time. =P

Ooh, I just had ten minutes to try it so far but it looks incredibly rich and detailed.  So many things to click on, and everyone has their own personality.  When does it get spooky?!  When does it get spooky!? 

 

(I noticed the nun has a line over her head but everything else looks amazing so far.)

Finally managed to play your game!

Okay ~ so..

Cutscenes are well done. At the very beginning ~ introduction serves its purpose well.

During game you can examine many things, talk with many people and everybody has their own personality ~ says other things.

I liked the 'fire' system, but haven't got a change getting into that, because I got stuck in endless teleporting hallways.

I liked the music and the mysterious voice - it's a nice touch there.

 

And... there are some things/bugs that I've discovered:

1.

A little thing:

When examining items etc. the window is semi-transparent, but not always - it's quite random and that's weird. For example:

2.

Didn't liked random teleports here - it's a cheap, confusing and annoying feature. (unless it's done very well for more interesting purposes)

Speaking of teleports - I got stuck in the castle, because I was teleported to random places, got confused and got lost.

And there... Event not disposed? Well anyway I saw that was pointed before...

The worst thing that can happen in game is this:

Glad there are saves all over the place and I didn't lost that much progress.

And there is a small mapping error?

6. And the 'place holder' in dancing part was awkward - it's better to hide something, when it's not finished. =P

7. Also, I nearly forgot - when the '???' voice speaks *whispers* in random places - I skipped ~40% of it while running, if you know what I mean. You could put a wait command or something to prevent from skipping that accidentally.

 

Well anyway, I know it's just a demo (actually you renamed it to Alpha now), so it's okay. These are just some things, that you should know - don't get me wrong by 'complaining'. I just want to help you catch some issues etc. to make your game better. =]

 

Well... The game was good I really liked the music - it fits here well, story is really good, but the bugs broke all the experience.

 

Okay, that's all I think ~ good luck with further developing! =]
