JurianChibo 7 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Hello people, here's my little corner of the forum in which I will upload Vocaloid acapella covers of game music.First of all, let's explain what Vocaloid is : Vocaloid is a vocal synthetiser, which means it is a virtual instrument that is a voice. Different languages are available, like japanese (mainly), english, chinese, korean and spanish. Each vocalist (they are called Vocaloids, in the fandom, though it is the program's name) has an avatar, a character that distinguishes them. It is not a free program, and I had to buy it, and each vocalist is sold separately. I own Lily (Powerful and a bit nasal, Japanese) and Avanna (Soft celtic, English)Lily : http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/V3_LilyAvanna : http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/AVANNA_%28VOCALOID3%29I will post an answer to this post everytime I post a new coverFire Emblem : Sacred Stone - MAIN THEME Legend of Zelda : Wind Waker - Dragon Roost Islandhttps://soundcloud.com/mabinogineimie/avanna-lily-dragon-roost-island-vocaloid3-acapella-cover Edited February 8, 2015 by JurianChibo
Jonnie91 1,149 Posted February 1, 2015 and now I'm buying Avanna That is some good work, Vocaloids can be tough to work with, but this sounds great Great work, and I look forward to seeing more
JurianChibo 7 Posted February 1, 2015 Thanks a lot. Just an advice about Avanna : If you really want her to sound good (during normal covers, that is), you really need to work on both dynamics and pitches. My next acapella is going to include an actual singing voice with lyrics, so I need to put more effort into this one track ^^'''OH! And also; Buy her in download. Because if you don't live in Europe (or in the UK, I don't remember), she's not available.
Jonnie91 1,149 Posted February 1, 2015 I thought it would take as much work as it does with Meiko V3 which is the vocaloid I used for one of my other tracks. So I know the feeling of having to fiddle like anything with the dynamics and the pitching they take a good load of work, but if they work they can sound amazing Yeah I brought it via download, thankfully I'm from the UK
