Alt Jack 6 Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) Like making things up? Of course you do. Well, I'm sitting on a pile of characters and, honestly, I can't come up with a story to tie them together. Luckily, I recycle stuff, so you can have siblings, and alternate costumes and family members, ect. Basically, I want to see what kind of stories can be created with my characters because no one ever has (that I know of, anyway). The best story gets made into a game, by me, with credit. The rules are very simple: 1. Don't plagarize existing works. I realise the irony in that, but it shows a lack of talent on the writers part if all they're going to do is play Mad-libs with a Final Fantasy plot and change some details around. If you were "inspired" by another story, I don't want to hear your plot. 2. You can only use the characters you're provided with. However, this is over 100 characters, so I don't see why you'd have a problem 3. Every single one has a name. You can change it, but please indicate that somewhere so I know who you're talking about 4. no, you're not getting paid and neither am I. 5. I have a job that I'm looking to get back to full-time, so I might not be around for much longer and replies might not be immediate. You've been warned. Well, that's that. Enjoy 1.75 mb worth of characters. Feel free to create personalities and everything, but it's not like I can't do that myself. I want to say that the characters are mine, but there are a few that aren't. Technically, they are, but legally they are not. It's a bit of a grey area, but that's as good as I can explain it without incriminating myself. It's like asking whether the people behind RPG maker own our games, or do we? In truth, I took characters from various sources (many of which I don't remember) and changed them, but don't credit them as being my own creation, since all I did was change them, rather than create them from scratch. There was an incident in the past in which someone didn't want their character or an altered version of a character posted on sites affiliated with someone, and I complied by removing that character, without argument. Any symbols or tattoos (like ones on the grey elf armor) were spur-of-the-moment, though, so I can't be blamed, as they're merely coincidence if they appeared somewhere else before I made them. Atleast6char 16 Posted February 22, 2015 I tend to work things the other way around, myself. Create a world, then put people to suit it, in it. Of course, having a selection of characters prior can still help you sort things out, and the character list you have, may characters fall into different themes. To tie ALL the characters together in one story, reasonably? difficult. One thing you could do, if you are hell bent on using most/all these characters, is have a story that involves jumping to other realms, or other timeline (Chrono Trigger, anyone?).I may return to this thread again to post some ideas for some characters, but for now, I'm actually a little caught up with my own things. Let's say end of March. I've been busy this month with life stuff , and I feel a month is long enough to put ideas together. Not like I'm expecting mass participation, either. By the way, you should really be crediting your resources - even edits I fancy myself a man of reason, so use as many as you feel you need. I'd be impressed if someone got everyone into one story, but I doubt it'd happen, even with a multi-generational plot line. Use a handful, or use dozens. Makes no difference to me. The edits are pieced together from the images that come mostly from 2 places: busts that were available on VX.net before it got steamrolled and the images that are included with the software itself. Straydog25 3 Posted February 27, 2015 Get this: An all girl band that is at the top of the pile, loved as the new generation of rock & roll but loved as well for their revealing cosplay on the stage.. In it you have Megan as the lead singer, known for dressing as the sexy witch. Hottie and Ice doing back up as well as playing bass and guitar. Laura as the keyboardist, and for the drums, wonderful, steamy vixen of the beats, Wolfie. On the road in their bus after a night for playing at one of the largest venues ever, let's go with, Madison Square Garden, a bright light fills up the entire bus. Megan finds herself no longer on the bus but in a bed that looks like it belongs to royalty. Rolling over, she sees a young man, who is currently stripped down to his boxers and is holding her close. Confusion and humiliation breaks out where she pushes him onto the floor. The man wakes up, arguing ensues, where our new male lead introduces himself as Jack, prince of the Vulgarians, and that she was suppose to be his bride as none of the other royalty from the other alien nations wanted to do anything with him. Megan is flattered and shocked that she herself is wanted not only as a handsome guys wife, but the future queen of an alien civilization, a ruler among those who had wanted her to do less. Things happen, and well, Megan has been told that she was the only girl that Jack found attractive, and that her bandmates have been sold one by one to the other four alien civilizations. Not wanting to waste time, Megan and Jack go on adventure after adventure to rescue her friends, only seeing them in one situation after another where they are doing very well for themselves, ones married to Death, another is running her own business venture, Hottie and Ice are going on tour and becoming the new hit sensation. Wolfie is nowhere to be found however, the night before Megan is to be married, a coded message is sent to her, saying something about help, come soon, signed Wolfie. Now Megan quickly runs off with Jack after waking him, and the two go to where Wolfie is suppose to be to rescue her. Instead being ambushed by space ninja cyber aliens. After defeating the sudden onslaught, a really weird guy laughs, shows up in a poof up smoke with Wolfie by his side and introduces himself as Gares. Wolfie is his prisoner, and before Megan and Jack do anything, he is gone and they have to defeat more enemies to get back to the ship and follow after. Losing Gares in an asteroid field, Megan goes back to all her former bandmates and asks them to accompany her and Jack to rescue Wolfie. Things happen where you have to find or help before they can say yes, another adventure ensues, before the last and greatest boss battle with Gares and brainwashed Wolfie. After a tremendous fight, Gares is defeated but not before running away and telling them that he will be back. Wolfie wakes up from her brainwashing, things end with a cherry tone with Megan marrying Jack with all the friends there.. And then it ends with some rift guitar music as Gares crashes in to get back his revenge, and the Continue? Screen goes up, and the credits roll by... Add NPC's, funny scenes, mini bosses, to the mix and I think that would an okay story? If not, no skin off of my nose, get it? -Stray. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

No, trust me on this; I've heard some pretty terrible plots and it was clear that they were "inspired" by more prevelant works like Zelda or FF. At least I admit to it and don't take credit for it by propping it up as my own creations. All of my noteworthy works have gone up in the funeral pyres of RRR and VX.net, so I understand the fleeting nature of our works. That being said, I look forward to reading more plotlines. I do request that the spoiler function be used in the future, though, because some people are just like that and don't like their stories being ruined. Story [warning its pretty long] The story begins in a bar in the middle of a rumble with Rose in the center throwing Bikers and thugs left and right with out breaking a sweat, effortlessly drinking her favorite brand of beer, DeathPunch. Just as the assailants have had enough a man in black enters, and sits down at the table where Rose is. "Enjoying the finer things in life I see" says the man in black "Its not my fault the idiots in this slum don't know who an easy target is and who isn't" Sighing, the man in black hands her a Data Drive, carefully as to not attract attention. "its all here, everything about the Suits and the metal faced man." whispers the man. "Have you found...." Rose leans in showing interest. "Its been 5 years Rose, and still nothing, if he had her there would have been records." Vandelo responded, with an unchanged expression "So still nothing about her, damn Vandelo what am i paying you for....." Rose says, holding her head up with he hands. "Information, which is getting increasingly difficult since the new regime kicked in." "yeah, the slums is the only good place to get a drink around here" Rose says, standing up and crushing the can with her hand. The two get up and head towards the exit, Rose looking at the data drive with an angry expression. As the two exit the bar two other people run by as if running from someone. As the female runner past Rose their eyes met and it felt as if time had stopped, or at least slowed down. "Yeviel!" Rose cries out as the runners gain more distance from them. Suddenly a pack of Cyber-Optic-Police-Subduers flash by and continue there chase for Yeviel and the mystery man, "Van, get the car!!" Rose yells, as she follows the C.O.P.S. Once Rose catches up with them, they have cornered the two runners and are about to open fire. "SHOOT TO KILL, THEY CANNOT SURVIVE!" one of them say in a robotic voice. "THE HELL YOU WILL!!!" Rose jumps in pulling out her DiGear weapon, a giant Chainsaw-Gun, shielding Yeviel and the man from gun fire. "Sis so it was you!" Yeviel calls out. "Sis?" the man says. "I've been looking for your ass for 5 years and i find you running from the police? my life...." Rose says still deflecting bullets. "ADDITIONAL THREAT DETECTED! THREAT UPDATE: MINIMAL" the leading C.O.P.S says. "Oh really, Then check this out!!!" Rose yells as she runs into the fray. Rose swings her chaingun effortlessly as if it weight was a a feather and rips the C.O.P.S. to shreds. before the remaining C.O.P.S. falls i yells out. "THREAT UPDATE:DI-GEAR USER!!!!" and falls to the ground in a cheesy power rangers explosion. "Shes, incredible" the man says. "Wow Rose, you've become a bad ass!" Yeviel says with a stary-eyes gaze. "Yeah, well, alot happens in 5 years...." Rose says blushing. As the three began to talk, Vandelo arrives in the car. "Sorry I would have helped, but I didn't want to give up my disguise." "Vanny!!" Yeviel gets up and runs to Vandelo hugging him. "Uh, hey Yevi, its been awhile" He starts to blush and look at Rose. Rose gets jealous and changes the subject. "Yeviel, what have you been doing, what made you just suddenly vanish for 5 years!" Rose says, tying to hold back tears. "I suppose that's mostly my fault" The mystery man gets up and explains. "My name, is Infie, I am a Android with the brain of a human" says Infie "Wouldn't that technically make you an cyborg?" Vandelo says, still trying to pry Yeviel off him. "Close but no" Infie says. "I can opertate perfectly fine with out the brain, anyway that is besides the point-" Just then police alarms start to get louder and closer. "We'd better get out of here, I show them my Di-Gear, they are probably sending stronger units" Rose says sheathing her weapons. The group runs down the alley and head towards Vandelo's hideout. There Rose and Vandelo learn that Yeviel is one of the many rebels that are trying to take down the new regime created secretly by Hezino, the metal faced man who has caused the deaths of many people and stolen over five trillion dollars in weaponry. Hezino is planning on creating all out warfare in the city ultimately destroying it so he can rise up and unite the people under his rule. Fed up with the way things are going down, Rose and Vandelo offer to help Yeviel and Infie on their mission to take down the biggest corrupted city in the world. They do a bunch of missions that cripple Hezino's power over the city, and show who the corrupted mayor really is an android controlled by Hezino's men. A bit of a cliche fight your way to the top of the skyscraper. A bomb is strapped to Vandelo and if you don't reach him in time he dies, and you loose your inside man, ultimately losing the additional information about missions and unable to do the secret ending. Where Vandelo saves you from Hezino losing his left arm and getting a cool prosthetic. the story ultimately ends with a 1v1 between and suped up Hezino and Rose fighting in the middle of a the city where everyone is watching as the fight unfolds you learn he was in fact and robot himself and that someone else has been pulling the strings on the whole time.(which could lead to a sequel) Edited March 10, 2015 by Omni Link Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Do you mean other people's characters or characters from other posts by me? Because I'm pretty sure that's all of them. I'm not clear on what you're looking to do here.
