Jupitera 3 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Hey guys. Looking for some critique/advice/suggestions/hatred/ideas or whatever else you would like to throw at me. Just finished my second (ever) track, and while it's okay, it could be better. So far just sticking with piano instrumentals, until I get better and can figure out how to use several synths/VSTs together. (Don't even get me started on drums.) I made these with a particular 'theme' in mind, or a story to follow. I'll post them along with the tracks so you can tell me if it goes together or not. 'You've just arrived in the next town. After seeing the destruction of several other towns and villages, this place looks to be almost of a different world. A small town, hidden in an enclave of a large forest. The chill of the autumnal wind carrying the red and yellow leaves in a flurry. It feels like a dream- The war against the Demon King, the suffering of the entire land- all of it is absent in this hidden sanctuary.' 'You step in front of Elena, guarding her from the true Demon Lord. He gives you a sinister smile from underneath the massive white and red plate helm. As you draw your blade, and stand ready, he laughs. This was your chance. Your chance to finally finish the one who had plunged both realms into war. The one who was responsible for the destruction of your hometown. The one you had trusted the most. The one you had sworn your life to. The Demon Lord shakes his head as he see's that you won't back down. With a snap of his fingers, a giant, flaming greatsword appears in the air. You adjust your grip, and prepare to fight your former friend.' Edited April 4, 2015 by Jupitera
Kaimen 22 Posted April 5, 2015 Oh wow... These are pretty amazing. And they do fit with the little story you posted. I wish I could put sceneries like these into a musical form like you can. Especially "Sole of the Demon King's Boot"... Oh man, I can't wait to hear that song in an arranged form. The piano doesn't do that song justice at all. That song needs a Harpsichord as lead instrument and Church Organ, Strings and maybe a little brass and wood for the chords. Now that would sound amazing. I'd maybe let a flute play the high notes at the end (around 2:03-ish). ... Heh. Now if that here doesn't tell you that I'm a fan of that song, I don't know what will. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you! Definitely!
Jupitera 3 Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Thanks Mad King Dude Bro! I totally agree that the piano alone doesn't do that song justice. Definitely hope to 'pimp' that song out again later on. Here's a new one I did last night. Don't have a full, written out story for it yet, but it's a sort of sad theme. You can probably make some good guesses off the name. Ninja edit story! "This is my home."The words cut deep, as you look upon the landscape. The scene before your eyes didn't match the stories you had heard all your life. Where was the black stone buildings, crafted in the fires of Hell? Where were the demons that were the size of castles and ate humans?Instead, you see deteriorated shacks built on a blackened hill. You see the figures of this world's residents dotting the hillside, crawling in the poisoned fields, attempting to harvest anything that might be edible. A group of small children, running around oblivious that they were dressed in torn rags."Who did this?" You whisper. "Who is responsible for these conditions?"She smiles, sadly."You did. You, and your 'justice'." Edited April 8, 2015 by Jupitera
Jupitera 3 Posted April 8, 2015 Post bump and spam! Made a new track today again. Added drums with this one. (Gasp!) Surprised myself how amazing it sounds with them in there. Nothing complicated as usual, but I like it. Come chat with me by the riverside.
SlaveOfThaMind 3 Posted April 19, 2015 This are very enchanting melodies for sure. I applaud you on your effort! Piano isn't my greatest forte. However after listening to your music I've been inspired to practice my piano skills (mouse clicking). Great work and keep it up!
