Hello guys,

we're proud to announce, that Listen will be translated into Italian. Thank you, EatYourBeetS, for this opportunity. But we don't know whether or not the Italian translation will be published at 06/01/2015 together with the other languages because we'd need to find some proofreaders for this language first. Maybe you're a native speaker?

Currently it seems that there are no delay in our schedule. The minigame is finished and successfully integrated into the game. Some bugs are solved and we got a nice bunch of beta testers. 21(!) Spanish people and 4 of each German and English tester.  There could be more. However, most of the german and english people do grammar and misspelling corrections, but more is never too much when it comes to spell.

So, I hope we find some more English and German beta testers  and maybe some Italian proofreaders so that we can further improve Listens quality.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

~Denna

The closed beta has started. Just in time. *cough* Well… Somewhere on earth it was still April as the mail was sent, I guess. 20 testers will put the game to the acid test.

I also just updated the topic. I refreshed the screenshots because they weren't current anymore.

@Paprika: I just uploaded v2.1 because we had some troubles with the files. I hope it's now fixed for everyone.

I just uploaded version 2.2. -.-

Fixed many grammatical errors (mainly german ones this time) and some old bugs that for some reasons returned from the bug graveyard.

Hey Denna!

I wanted to start off by addressing everyone -- Listen is a highly underrated game that doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. Denna, I played this awhile ago, and I was struck by the detail and charming simplicity of this game. :) The premise is sweet, simple, and engaging, not in the least because I'm never entirely sure what I'm supposed to do. Starting with the play room, the entire game has a slightly surreal feel to it, almost whimsically so (but the music in the play room/tower was a little creepy, so I turned the volume off haha ^^") I got stuck on the puzzle with the weird laughing bushes, but it's probably just me being an idiot...

I love the graphics. Even without faces, your manage to convey emotion well in this game c: The puppetman creeped me out at first but I feel like he's really grown on me. The little sprite animations make a huge difference. I was pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail--the way the girl turns her head, the way she crawls in the play tower puzzle, the puppetman riding the toy horses (they look a bit like shapeless ducks to me, but I don't care, it's adorable). I love how real it feels.

And I'm not sure what's up with that giraffe (he is a giraffe, right?), but I'm looking forward to continuing to see him. :)

This game looks so special!

It reminds me of "To The Moon" somehow...

I think this gotta be a GREAT game, because it just looks great and by reading intro I'm interested as hell!

I'm going to play that game very soon! :)

This game is made with RPG Maker XP now.

What is it doing on this site?

This site is supposed to be for Maker VX Ace games.

First of all, sorry for the late response. I was quite busy the last month. :S

@all: Thank you very much for your feedback.

@Tsarmina: Did you figure it out yet. Maybe I can help you with the bush? And yes, it's a giraffe. :)

@Nightgazer Starlight: As you might have noticed this forum also gives games made with other Enterbrain engine a home. Where are a lot of other games made with the xp or the vx around. That the forum is named rpgmaker vx ace doesn't necessarily mean that it's ace only. First of all it means the forum has a focus on the ace, but everything else is for the administration to decide and obviously they also welcome games of other Enterbrain engines like ours.

Currently we're working on the last overhaul: the tower. As soon as our translators got the translation done we'll release it. Stay tuned. :D

Whoops! I'm late myself :) Yes, I did, it was a very thoughtful and enjoyably game. The ending was sad ;_; but I liked it. Short and sweet.

Started a long time ago ~ had a big pause due to some stuff ~ finally got back to that game and finished it.

This is a well made game!

I kinda got confused by the story, but it was really good. Though I think the ending was too quick ~ I wasn't exactly sure what was happening. (Also I was expecting something extremely good at the end, like that type of games usually do =P)

The gameplay was kinda too slow sometimes, but generally it was enjoyable.

I loved the details in character sprites (sprites where they're turning their head or pointing on something using hands) and the work with events (~sprite details).

It's a really good game and I liked it. (=

Well done!  :D

This is awesome! found a bug though ;)

If you talk to the trap door from above when it's open you get an error (Maybe a translation bug) I was playing in English :)
