MaidenM 2 Posted May 11, 2015 So I'm trying to do parallax mapping because the tilesets scare me. I would like to know what others think. These are meant to be the very first maps in my game, a short ice dungeon to begin with. I wanted to make it look very empty while still giving it a decent amount of clutter. I'm using the resources that came with RPGM, if anyone has any suggestions of what else I can use I would appreaciate it. Entrance First floor, a simple two boulder "puzzle" is going to block the way. Second floor. Slidy puzzle. As it is the very start I wanted it to be simple, like kindergarten simple. A bit of jumping, a bit of pushing, a bit of sliding.
Laura Maker 0 Posted May 11, 2015 Oh, that's amazing! How did you do that rounded corners? I loved it. :
MaidenM 2 Posted May 12, 2015 Thank you x) As I was drawing freehand the rounded corners where easy. I'm just worried it might look sloppy atm...

Zattersmox 4 Posted June 2, 2015 Those maps look beast! As far as other resources, whenever I attempt (and usually fail at =p) parallax mapping I try to use charset and icons as some light clutter, with the colors adjusted to kind of match the setting. These are pretty awesome looking though!
Valvatoras 1 Posted June 9, 2015 That’s pretty good for your first try. There are people that have experience that can’t make them that good.
