JaiCrimson 22 Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) Since the game I am currently working on will be considered as my first rpg maker game (VXA ofc xD) I figure I should go with something simple and light. The bare idea for the story is easy - monsters are tired of being hunted and treated like the root of all evil so they rise up against humans. The only complex part of this game (besides CREATING IT) is that the human parts of the world are based on one theme. Hubris. What would you all consider to be real life examples of Hubris? The official definition of Hubris is, "excessive pride or self-confidence; arrogance." But as humans we all generally have an inherent, intuit idea of what Hubris is seperate from the mechanical term. So far some places I've created based on this are; -Glamour, a town full of people obsessed with self-image. -Gildenvale - A town full of merchants whom believe that money makes them more important than anything. -and Pride - A town full of combatants of all types, knights and mages and more whom believe they are all fated to be the single greatest warrior to ever exist and that all are completely pathetic compared to them. Of course not all the characters in all the towns will be megalomaniacs, some will be generally good people. But for the main portion this is what I'm creating the in game world based on. (lust, greed, gluttony, laziness, wrath, envy, stuff like that) Hmm...examples of other ideas you could build off of! Power (obsessed with power) Selfishness (can be either morally, or scrooge-like) Vengeful/sensitive (offended easily and will do anything to get you back) Bravery (thinking just because they have courage they can do anything) Snobbish intellectuals...? XD (flaunt their knowledge and act superior because of it) I'm just throwing ideas now, I hope at least some of these helped you a little bit hahaha ^^ 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
