Obelion 1 Posted June 27, 2015 (edited) Greetings to all. I have been producing as a hobby and as an amateur for some time now. Recently, I started to enjoy creating RPG-related tunes. The audio files are looping .ogg. However, they don't loop back all the way to the beginning of the song. They skip the intros and loop back to where the main part of the song begins. RPG-tracks are also uploaded to soundcloud and/or youtube. The links are .copy-links, which is basically the same as dropbox. The copy-player doesn't allow to play midi, though. I included the midi-link for some of the tracks just for download purposes. [battle01] Him Again; midi [battle02] Someone Special; midi [battle03] Clash; midi [battle04] Pokemon Champ [battle05] Ancient Beast [battle06] Nemesis [battle07] DeathPenalty [Town01] Money Talks [Town02] Peace and Quiet [Dungeon01] Snowy Mountain [Dungeon02] Burden [Theme01]_Nemesis_Encounter [Theme02] End Of Us Edited March 6, 2016 by Obelion
JaiCrimson 22 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) The flow for the first song seems to be choppy at points as well as some of the transitions of that same song seeming equally as choppy. Also the third song Clash actually links me back to the second song Someone Special. I'm not sure if that's just my web being glitchy or if the link is off. Other than that I dig it. These seem pretty professional. plus they're crisp and fit the Rpg atmosphere perfectly! You wouldn't happen to have a soundcloud or something, would you? Obelion 1 Posted June 28, 2015 Also the third song Clash actually links me back to the second song Someone Special. I'm not sure if that's just my web being glitchy or if the link is off. That was my fault. I corrected it. Other than that I dig it. These seem pretty professional. plus they're crisp and fit the Rpg atmosphere perfectly! You wouldn't happen to have a soundcloud or something, would you? Thank you. I do have a soundcloud, I just didn't put any RPG-stuff on there. I'm considering making a soundcloud specifically for that, so everything is nicely organised and more easily downloadable. Other than that, thank you for your feedback! Rikifive 3,411 Posted June 28, 2015 These songs are good! =) I liked "Someone Special" and "Pokemon Champ" the most
Obelion 1 Posted June 30, 2015 Thank you! I added another town-theme and a dungeon-theme to the first post. The town theme is suppsed to be that generic happy first new town theme. As for the dungeon, I envisioned something like a foggy forest on a mountain. Hope it works, and hopefully someone will find it useful enough!
Rikifive 3,411 Posted June 30, 2015 I really liked Snowy Mountain! It's so simple and it really sounds like from an RPG game. =) Great job! =)
Meinos Kaen 12 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) Oh god, Him Again reminds me of something... Or someone. Did you take inspiration from some other track? It's a very nice tune for a recurring boss, but I have this memory just on the tip of my amygdala...! Edited July 3, 2015 by Meinos Kaen
Obelion 1 Posted July 4, 2015 Oh god, Him Again reminds me of something... Or someone. Did you take inspiration from some other track? It's a very nice tune for a recurring boss, but I have this memory just on the tip of my amygdala...! Maybe. There was a chiptune in a best-of-all-chiptues-compilation that made use of a chord-progression that i also used in this track. I've always had this progression in mind and I thought it would fit here. Other than that, I can't really remember any song in particular that inspired me. Some of the other songs are definitely inspired by specific songs, though. For example. the Zinnia Battle Theme for "Pokemon Champ".
Obelion 1 Posted August 1, 2015 (push) I included Battle06 to the starting post. It's the same track I posted here, only this time it's a looping .ogg and I named it "Nemesis". The idea was to include a simple and easy-to-remember melody that can be reused for other tracks, thus creating a theme for a specific character throughout a game. I plan to do more tracks with this melody and we'll see how it will work out.

Obelion 1 Posted August 3, 2015 Thank you! That keeps me motivated! I included yet another track to the first post. As I said, I wanted to include the melody from battle06 to various tracks. That being said, I made a track that's supposed to be a character-theme-song. Enjoy and feel free to use all of these tracks (for non-commercial purposes and with credits included)

Obelion 1 Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) Happy new years to everyone! It's been quite a while since I posted an RPG-song. New year, new luck, so here we go: End of Us It's supposed to be an epic theme just before the final fight, or before the characters realize, shit is about to hit the fan and they need to gather all their courage and strength to face the ultimate challange! edit: and before anyone asks: yes! It's based on this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-7Xd7DlMyQ I listened to this theme and I loved it so much that it inspired me to an rpg-song Edited January 2, 2016 by Obelion
Obelion 1 Posted January 6, 2016 Here's another one. Burden Actually, I'm not quite sure, if it's fitting for an RPG. The intro is quite long and it has quiet part in the middle that can easily interrupt the flow of an fast paced RPG. However, it might work as a dungeon theme, perhaps in a tower or a fortress. Also, I'm considering going easy with the real instruments next time. An RPG always has a somewhat artificial, surreal feeling to it, so it's worth trying to mirror that in the music and not making it seem too real. Otherwise it probably wouldnt fit. Obelion 1 Posted March 2, 2016 Update. I included DeathPenalty to the first Post. It's a battle-theme, but i think fits intense action scenes in general. (Mix is now fixed and it loops, as opposed to the version i posted here the other day). As with the Nemesis-Themes, I want to reuse the Deathpenalty-melody in order to create Theme-songs for certain characters, events, locations and whatnot. Enjoy!
