Tale of Two sisters

An RPG Maker Game

 

Hello.

My name is Kevin Matthews. I'm a 21 year old university student. I'm dreaming of becoming a game developer. 

 

This is just a game i'm making as I learn to use the program. I will of course try my best to make this a good and enjoyable game.

It started out as just a short and quick RPG with a simple story, but as I worked more and more on the game, new ideas came into play and it looks to me much much longer and bigger

that first anticipated. I really that this game will be the first step for me in game development, and hopefully I can stay motivated to make other project, and use the program to its full

potential.

 

Now for the game itself.

Abstract: 

 

The game is an Adventure RPG set in a fantasy world, with a story inspired by another game of the same name. (Chantelise: A Tale of Two sisters.)

 

Genre:

Adventure RPG.

 

Game Progression:

The game is progressing a bit each day. Currently i'm working on getting the Main Quest done, and then focusing on the Side Quests.

Estimated progress: 45%

Estimated time of Finish Project: Late August. 

 

Story:

 

 

Many years ago, a terrible evil threatened the land. A Demon from another dimension was preparing to enter our world, and spread chaos and destruction where ever he treads. Two brave warriors were sent to the other dimension to stop this Demon from ever entering our world. They succeeded in stopping the demon, however only one warrior returned.

 

15 years have passed since then. Rose, a young girl living in a small village with her two sisters, is on a quest to save her sister Violet from a curse. Violet has been transformed by a witch into a fairy, for reasons unknown. Rose promised her sister that they would find this witch and transform her back to normal.

 

But they would soon find out, that they are getting involved in another much bigger quest, as the world is once again threatened by the Demon. The Two sisters, with the help of others will find the means to stop this demon once and for all, so that he may never return to try again.

 

This is the Tale of Two sisters.

 

 

Main Characters:

 

 

Rose

Age 17

Weapon:Scythe

Magic: Offensive 

 

Rose is a young girl. She is one of three sisters, living in a small peaceful village. She is cheerful and always ready to give a helping hand to those in need. She is determined to find the Witch

that transformed her sister into a Fairy and make her reverse the magic, be any means.  

 

Violet

Age 15

Weapon: Wand

Magic: Supportive

 

Violet is the younger sister of Rose. She was transformed into a fairy by a witch, gaining supportive magic in the process. Despite her misfortune, she kept her head high, knowing that her sister

will help her find the witch that transformed her, and make her change her back. 

 

Side Characters:

Valiant

Age Unknown, over a 100

Weapon: Sword

Magic: Buffs

 

Valiant is the King of the Land. While a very busy King, he is usually ready to give a helping hand if the cause is right. He have been King of the land almost as long as it's existence, although no one

questions his ruling, and how he can stay young for so long.

 

Captain Scarlett

Age 28

Weapon: Cutlass, Pistol

Magic: None.

 

Captain Scarlett is the captain of her own ship, the Dauntless. She explores the seas with her crew, to find new lands or trading routes. She likes to get drunk when not out on sea, to forget her 

troubled past. 

 

Other Characters:

Summer

Status: Deceased 

 

Summer is the mother of Lilly, Rose and Violet. She has been taking care and raising her children alone in a small peaceful village. She took out one day to search for her husband, who left on a

quest many years ago. Unfortunately she never returned, making Lilly the caretaker of her younger sisters, Rose and Violet.

 

Lilly

 

Lilly is the elder sister of Rose and Violet. Ever since their mother passed away, Lilly has become the caretaker and mother figure of her younger sisters.  

 

 

 

Credits:

Even though I try to avoid using anything out of the thing that comes with the program, I have imported a few things to make the game feel more alive. I also don't like using scripts for my very first game

but I will if necessary.

Thank you for reading about my project. There will be more to come as I work on the game. I won't be doing daily or weekly updates, but I will be updating of there is major changes. Also there will be no demo. I will only release the game when it is finished and tested, so it will be a fun, bug free experience.
