I'm hoping this is in the right place.

Basically, I'm trying to get into mapping design, right now being interior, I don't think it looks bad, but I'd like from second opinions, mostly the walls and door.

And of course, any tips are good, since I'm a bloody newbie at this.

Edit: Oh I took this photo before I remembered to remove that random part in the middle.

Well firstly, I see missing roof tiles :o

Roof tiles fix the walls up when using auto tiles so that they look like sections and not all weird and endless like yours are showing, so if you are sectioning off areas of this room, try using at least 1 diameter of a roof tile to close it all off.

I'm horrible at explaining this, but all I ask is when your adding to that map, try using a map tile - usually located 1 tile above the wall tile you used on the customisation area on the left. You'll see what I mean when it brings the walls together :)

EDIT:

Also, those doors you have shown, I'm sure there meant as a "character" instead of a tile.

If you transfer that graphic from the "tilesets" to the "Characters" folder and put a $ at the start of the file name, you can use the animation when the player interacts with it when using the event commands~

If that makes sense.

Unless you have 3 or more screenshots, you should post in the Screenshot Critique Thread. :) You can either add two more screenshots or I can lock this for you and you can post there instead~

1: I only have 1 more, so thanks for telling me there is such a thing

2: Actually I only put that door there, so for the photo it's not just seem as a small event thing, if you know what I mean, and also, I'm not sure if i've seen any roofs in the classic school tileset, the one above the wall tile, just leaves a blank outside space.

If you could, would you mind helping me find some nice roof tile sets?

Google is your friend :)

Since you don't have three screenshots, I'll lock this. Feel free to post any of your maps in the screenshot critique thread!
