Which map do you like better?

I am trying to decide wether to use xp or vx ace based on maps. Here are the maps, they are both of the same area. Tell me which you like better.

Ive always preferred XP style. Ace default graphics are too squished and overall bad-looking to me. The XP map looks a lot better than the Ace version in my opinion.

I like the XP map in terms of relative sizing, but I never liked the low saturation. :c

I like the map made in XP.

In VX Ace everything is too small and makes that map kinda *empty*.

In XP everything is more detailed and sizing is better. I only didn't liked the saturation, which makes that map kinda *dead*.

Same as me, but comparing these two ss' (surprisingly) I liked XP more. =P

I have custom-made tilesets with good sizing. VX default size might not be as big but you can fit more on a map due to them being small.

Personally, I find both maps to be alright. It's mostly the matter of how you make them nowadays. VX ace style maps tend to be small but you can fit many in one with the right tools whereas XP style maps are big and detailed but they separate more than what the ace version can which leaves many empty spaces. In my opinion though, the biggest factor of maps is not the type of resources, but the time you take to make the maps more environmental~ I can see potential of both maps, but mapping is just not putting tilesets onto a blank page.

Even though I'm an Ace user, I really do prefer the XP style. Like LadyMinerva said, it all depends on how you use it!

I think I would prefer the ace one if you made the trees and cactus taller.

The one on the right has a brighter colors while the left one is a bit more darker. Depends on the mood you're trying to set.
