How to make upkeep skills?

Recommended Posts

Sorry for stupidity of that, but I just want to eliminate that possibility:

Make sure this battle event is in troop, where the battle takes place.

I'm not sure what is wrong, can you post a picture of full event?

Hmm...

What exactly did you tried?

It doesn't work for both conditions? (killed / MP=0)

Hmm... I don't know why it doesn't work...

And remember it will work only at the end of the turn, so you need to wait a little for effect. Nah, you surely know that.

Try modifying the condition to Turn No. 0 + 1*x and keep the span at turn.

That worked for me.

Okay, so I've found the problem. Pretty stupid of me not to notice in truth so I apologise.

Using Fomar's CTB script is clearly messing with the length of what is considered a turn. I'm going to have to mess around with the script settings and see if I can make it match what the default system considers to be one turn.

Apologies again for not thinking about that sooner, I had trouble with other stuff before when I was set up as ATB with that script but setting it to CTB made me kind of forget all about it. :/

Yeah, the battle systems breaks turn lengths.

I'm having problems with turn duration for past 2 moths and I doubt I'll fix that.

Yeah, I've tried altering turn length but it seems to have no effect. Shame since I'm really not a fan of the default system and having the whole party take their turns and then the enemies take theirs. Looks as though it's going to have to be a choice between that or altering the way of these skills work for now though!

Perhaps there could be a workaround for that...

Setting span to moment and putting "wait" somewhere to make event occur after every ~1sec or something... But I absolutely have no idea how to make that work, nor if it's even possible.

At least as for now, because I didn't used events much in RPG Maker.

I don't think that will make any difference, just tried running it with "moment" and it carried on running fine but seemed to have no effect as well.

For now I think hunting down a similar CTB script and hoping it's compatible will be the best option.
