Music Loops & BGM Collection - Free Commercial Use

Recommended Posts

just had to say thank you for these music files.  I will definitely look into using these when I get around to making my first game.  I totally stink at making music and am glad to see people like you putting great stuff like this out there.  Do you ever do requests?  I don't remember seeing in these posts if it was asked or if you ever said?  thanks again for all of this.

I'm glad you like the tracks! As for requests, I'm not currently taking any due to my current work, but I have in the past. I'll post a notification in this thread when I begin taking requests again. Thank you for asking.

Alright, I've listened to this music enough to get used to it and I really like it (I seem to like lots of stuff though).

Still, this is really good regardless of my likes and dislikes and I'm definitely going to use it in my current project, you are a great composer Aaron.

I really hope you create more music for the community, as someone already stated - You can never have too much music.

After hours of sorting through my music archives, I was able to recover and export over 100 of my first songs from 2006 - 2008. Most of these tracks were composed using MadTracker for Windows -- not an ideal program for the kind of music I was trying to make. Nevertheless, here they are... most of songs 24 - 141. Some were never finished, and they do not appear in this collection.

Discs 5 & 6 contain music written specifically for RPGs. Some songs were even made with 8-bit synthesizers.

Here is a bonus track that is available on Disc 5 in a slightly different version:

Edit: 18 tracks from songs 1-23 (2006) have been found! Disc 1 is now downloadable from Mediafire.

As usual, you have my permission to use these tracks commercially, if you so desire. However, please note that these are not the kinds of songs you have come to expect from me. The sound quality is MP3 320kbps, but these are raw exports, they do not loop, and they sound weird

All right. Let the sharing begin!

Dear Friends,

I am no longer able to pay for premium SoundCloud services, however, my music is still available through batch ZIP file downloads, hosted on MEGA’s servers.

Feel free to use any of these songs as you please, including for commercial projects.

Also, my original post contains a breakdown of songs according to their intended function / placement in a classic RPG game.

All songs are in MP3 format. Here are the new download links, hosted by MEGA:

SONGS 110, 147 - 314 (Includes all free SoundCloud releases and more! 2010-13)

DOWNLOAD ALL (245MB)

SONGS 001 - 105, 121 - 141 (Includes previously unreleased tracks from 2006-09)

DOWNLOAD PART 1 (344MB) | PART 2 (272MB)

I am sorry for any inconvenience. I will continue to write songs for this community, but I am still on hiatus and am not accepting requests at this time.

Thank you for your continued support. I hope you enjoy the tracks!

Sincerely,

Aaron Krogh

Oh my god, I've heard Bloodlust in the "Happy Birthday" rpg game and I've been trying to find a looped or extended version of it ever since!

Thank you so much!  ^_^ Of course the rest are nice as well, Lots of things to create now...

LadyMinerva, do you have a link to this Happy Birthday RPG? I would love to see how Bloodlust was used in context! lol

Yup, here's the link to the game itself! http://rpgmaker.net/games/4839/ It's in the VXA version so it shouldn't be a problem.

Otherwise you can search some LP videos about it on Youtube.

EDIT: The title does not mean the whole game is pleasant though  ^_^

Thank you so much for sharing all of this music. *_*

I listen to a lot of it while working on my game to get me pumped up. Desert Battle and The Tea Garden are my favorites. *^_^*

So, I have some good news for everyone! First, I am preparing to start a whole new chapter of music-making to share with the community in the Fall. This will be a kind of re-imagining of the game music I have made until now. I want to create at least an entire game's worth of music, spanning the course of a year or two. Tracks will be hosted on SoundCloud again, and I am going to re-activate unlimited downloads for the "Sound Color" series later this month. Also, I am now taking commissions for commercial games! PM me if you are interested!

I am very glad you decided to compose, too! Please feel free to send me links of your tracks, or even post links in this thread.

As for the software I use, Steinberg's Sequel has been my go-to for years, but lately I have used Apple's Logic Pro.
