The Dark Gallery (IC)

Recommended Posts

Night time appears as the grand opening of Hartford's museum of fine arts, many people entered, may it be children, teenagers, and adults. Many were excited to see the arts and sculptures made by the late Hartford himself. And one of the is a young man named Alexander cross, whom his friends referred him to as "Al", his mysterious looks wasn't bothering the people around him. All of Hartford's works made Alex's eyes shine with amazement.

"I can't believe this! All of his works looked alive. I'm impressed!" He said to himself. He was an avid fan of art, may it be classic, abstract, and more. Everything he sees made him feel more at peace.

(So, the RP is starting right now then? Cause if so...)

Finally arriving at the museum, he tilted his hat up a bit with his index finger, examining the marvelous paintings, trying to hide the fact that these works amazed him.

"Tsk..." He pulls his hat down a bit, covering his eyes. "True works of art. That's for sure."

Shiloh looked up at the painting on the wall in front of her, and frowned. "Such an underrated artist."

The painting was of a human skull, with serpents protruding from the eyes. She pondered over its possible implications, sitting atop her perch on a deep windowsill.

Miyami stood outside the entrance to the large exhibit. There was a small line of people waiting to get in; not enough to be a complete shutdown, but just barely enough to make her a bit annoyed. She brushed her hair back behind her ears, revealing her small gold earrings as they reflected in the afternoon sun. Miyami had waited a long time for this gallery to open, and she would be one of the first people to experience it. After she was "told" (more like forced) by her mother and father to go to the art exhibit, Miyami began to appreciate the real aspects of art and how it can play so well into our own lives. Art history never interested her that much, but looking at paintings and their methods and techniques was the real purpose she was here today. Maybe she would even write a book report about it for her school project...

The line started moving and moving. Miyami then found herself inside the exhibit after a while. There were definitely some strange characters who hung around this art gallery, who looked like they didn't belong. Although she was short, Miyami could see the numerous people that stuck out like sore thumbs: a boy with a hood over his head, looking mysterious and a sort of troublemaker. There was also another boy who dressed himself with a black baseball hat, and who wore something that made him look like a sort of "outcast by society" wardrobe. Miyami couldn't tell from a distance but it looked blue and white, and that was the only thing she could decipher.

"What a strange group of people..." Miyami couldn't help but feel that something wasn't quite right with the way these people looked, or how they acted.

Alex began to remove his hood to see the painting in from of him. As he removes his hood, his medium length blond hair drops down and a smile formed on his lips. As he looked at the painting, felt so in peace as he looked at the scenery of the painting. After a while, he began to look around the crowd and saw a young girl looking a bit uneasy, he went to her and said, "are you lost young lady?".

Sasori scowled a bit, looking out the corner of his eye. "Why do people gotta talk and ruin it..."

He shoved his hands into his pockets and turned towards the two. "Hey! If the lady's got a problem, take it outside or somethin'. I'm sure the people here trying to enjoy the paintings don't wanna hear all the rambling."

Alex looked at the guy who's talking to him. "I'm sorry, but I think you might have mistaken us as couples." he shrugged, "Oh well.. I better go, I still have to take a look at the exhibit." He said and walked away.

Skyla went inside the newly opened Art gallery and waited for her friend. "How long is he going to make me wait!?" she pouted, "argh! forget about it, I'm going to check this gallery with or without him!" she said to herself. While she was looking at the exhibits she heard some people talking not far from her, as she looked at their direction, she was shocked to see her brother with a girl and a boy who looks like has the same age as her brother. She saw her brother walked away. 'What is he doing here anyway?' She asked herself, 'Wait... He did mention that he's going to an art gallery but I didn't know that he's talking about this place..' She said from her mind.

Shiloh looked over at the commotion. Jeez. She pulled her eyes away from the painting and edged closer to the small group, wondering what's up.

Sasori sighed and slapped his palm into his forehead. "Damn it, now there's a whole crowd over here. That's just fantastic..."

"Umm, I'm really sorry...I didn't mean to make anyone upset."

Three minutes into the exhibit, and she had already felt like she had done something she would regret later. She turned to look at the man who had just left. He was a rather strange one, even more strange than the person in front of her, wearing a black jacket and a yellow tie (what a ridiculous color for that choice of apparel). Then, there was another woman who came closer to the group who looked...less than inviting to say the least. Miyami didn't feel comfortable around this many people she wasn't familiar with. But regardless, she decided to look up towards the stranger.

"Hi. I'm Miyami. I'm a junior from the nearby school. But you can just call me Mimi~"

"Tsk..." Sasori groaned and rubbed his neck. "Yeah yeah, tell me your life story or whatever." He sighs and shakes his head. "...Sasori Sheoul. Senior." He looked around at everyone, still slightly annoyed. "Just, don't be so loud or whatever guys. I'm- I mean...these people are here to see the art. And I don't think they can focus with all the noise."

As alex walked away from the group, he noticed a painting at the end of the hallway from his left side. "Hmm... I wonder what that is." he said and went to the painting.

------------------------------------

Skyla followed her brother without him noticing, before she could continue following him, she took a quick glance at the group his brother was talking to a while ago. She looked back at where Alex was but to no avail, she lost sight of him.  "Where did he go?"
She asked herself and began to look for him.

------------------------------------

As Alex looked at the painting's title he looked confused. "???" that was the title of the painting, it is a portrait of a young girl who is asleep in a bed of roses. Before he gets more curious he left the painting. But suddenly, the lights went flickering, and he felt a strange presence behind him. "Wha--" he looked back at the painting and noticed that the girl in the portrait flashed a smile and after that, the gallery went blackout.

------------------------------------

Skyla felt something wasn't right at the atmosphere but before she could utter a word, the gallery went on a sudden blackout.

"EEK!!" She screamed and fainted.

Shiloh gasped. "The hell?" She was sure it wasn't closing time, and they surely would've given warning. Straining her eyes in the dark, she made out the silhouettes of the rest of the loud group. "Hey! What's going on?"

He takes a defensive stance as he looks around a bit frantically. "What the...?! What's the big idea here?!" He looks around slowly, remaining cautious. "Whoever's doin' this, it ain't funny!"

Miyami gasped as the lights blackened out and faded away. Perhaps it was because of the summer heat that the lights went out suddenly, but Miyami thought otherwise. She tried to grasp at someone's hand, anyone's hand, in the blackness, but couldn't find anyone. In the last moment, she was surrounded by a bunch of people and now, there was no one beside her. Miyami felt alone in the dark and swung her body around frantically, trying to find someone in the midst of screams, noise, and gasps.

"Hello? Wh-where is everybody? Hello? Sasori?"

There wasn't a response for some time. Miyami felt that she had wandered off from the rest of the group and that she needed to find her way back. But how would she be able to accomplish that when she didn't even know where she was going?

Shiloh heard a female voice calling out in the darkness. "Who's there? Hello?" No response. She tried to move toward where that group of people were earlier. Or at least, where she thought they were. She could sense something was up. Not even the exit signs were glowing, and those were always supposed to be on.

"Tsk..." He reaches into his coat pocket, pulling out a flashlight and hitting it a few times, it flickers on and he sighs. "Okay... where is everyone?"

She quickly lost any sense of what direction she was going. She became disoriented and started to inwardly panic. Is this what blindness feels like? No, blind people could hear. There wasn't a single sound anywhere, and she questioned whether or not she was actually going anywhere. "Calm yourself," she muttered. She felt along the tile floors until she grazed a wall. She moved her hands along the wall until she felt a door knob. Opening it, she felt a broom and a couple boxes inside. A custodian closet. Atop the box was a small cylinder. Fiddling with it, a light came out. It was a small LCD flashlight, the kind you kept on your key ring. It wasn't much, but in the midst of the darkness, it was a godsend.

He shines his light around, eventually finding a frightened Miyami fumbling around. "Well that's one down... Miyami!"

Alex wandered around the blackout and felt something on his feet, he looked down and shocked to see her sister lying on the ground, it may be dark but he can see clearly from the dark. "Sky! wake up." he said.

-----------------------------------

Skyla slowly woke upon hearing his brother's voice, as she open her eyes, she saw her brother's worried face and started crying, "I'm scared!" She said.

-----------------------------------

Upon hearing those words, Alex calmed her down, "It's alright now kid, big brother is here now." He said in a calm tone which calmed Skyla and made her to stop crying. "You okay now?" Alex asked?

-----------------------------------

"Yeah, I'm okay now." Skyla said and stood up, "What are we going to do now?" She asked her brother..

-----------------------------------

Alex looked around and noticed the the area is lighting up, he noticed that they were in a black room. "Right now, we should find our way out first." He said. "Okay." Skyla answered.

Miyami fumbled her way around in the dark, using her arms to feel her way around. What was strange was the fact that she didn't feel any paintings anymore...just wood and more wood and more wood. It was almost as if she was...transported to another place, but how on earth would that even be possible? No matter what Miyami did, she couldn't get eyes to adjust to the darkness. It seemed as though it was just an endless wall of black.

Miyami saw a light shine past her for just a split second, and then a distant familiar voice spoke. "Miyami!"

She turned around and saw a very familiar face: Sasori. Not knowing what to do in this situation, she quickly dashed forward and catapulted herself into Sasori's chest, burying her head and crying a little out of fear. "Sasori? Is that really you? I'm s-so scared...what do I do? What's going on? Where are we?"

The multitude of questions would probably turn him away, but Miyami was relentless to find out just what was going on...

Sasori scowled a bit and froze in place. "H-Hey, get off of me!" He sighs and looks around. "I'm not sure what's going on. But the last thing that's gonna help is a buncha panicking...so just calm down already." He groans, thinking to himself. 'Of all the times to actually go somewhere...'

The siblings we stopped from walking when they heard a voice not far from them. "A-alex? Did y-you hear that?" Sky stammered. "Yeah, and I think we're not alone." Alex answered, "We should go and check it out." he said. "O-okay, as long as you're here." Skyla said.

--------------------------------------------------------------

As they went to the source of the noise, they found a familiar girl and a boy, "Hey Alex, Aren't those two from the gallery? The ones I saw you talked to?" Skyla asked. "Yeah. Wait... How did you--- are you following me?" Alex said. "Ummm.. Actually, I was supposed to be meeting my friend at the gallery but he didn't show up, so I went alone and saw you three talking and then you left those two." Sky explained. "I see.." Alex replied, "Hey! Are you two alright?" He shouted at the two.

He looks over at the siblings. "See? More people. So there's no reason to be scared, or whatever. S-So you can get off now..." He shines his light at the two and nods. "Hey...yeah, everything is fine." He reached reached into his coat pocket, grasping onto a certain something that's in there just in case. "What's going on around here?"

"I don't know, but one thing is for sure... We're not in the gallery." Alex answered. "Was it you two that we heard a while ago?" Skyla asked.
