EpicFILE Hall of Rhythm

Recommended Posts

Hi! EpicFILE here! Considering I am a musician, but I haven't posted any music yet...

This time I will post my music!

Here it is...

Light of Dawn!

This is one of my older song which was made through recording (Most of my songs are purely digital, this one is an exception. There are some hissing noise, though. xD )

Well, enjoy the music, and leave a comment if you like to.

Thank you for dropping by!

I like how energetic it is.  I think... it's motivating me... to get up out of this chair... and clean my closet!

Yeah, I'm trying to capture the spirit of the morning in this song.

I'm happy if you feel energized.  ^_^

Hi!

These are actually my older songs (last year's songs to be specific xD)

Here they are!

In this song I'm trying to capture the spirit of a mountain climber. (yeah!)

This one is a rearranged version of a traditional Indonesian song which originated from Java.

FYI, Gethuk is actually a traditional Indonesian snack made of cassava.

I think this song was inspired by that snack   xD

Well, I'll share a picture of Gethuk...

It's sweet and tasty! =3

Nice!  I like how soothing the second one is.  And I think it DOES make me want a snack.  :D  The first one feels like it's early in the morning and other people are still asleep but I've got all my gear together and I'm ready to go tackle the day (while perhaps half wishing I could still be in bed.)

Thanks for dropping by!

Originally Gethuk has lyrics in it. My arrangement is instrumental only.

You can browse the other versions of Gethuk if you're curious.

They're also fun to listen to! Well, it's a fun song anyway.  ^_^

Seems you've changed your avatar? O_O

That's great!  :D

I quite like the way you make your musical. It's very instrumental and close to home with familiar sounds and warm notes. Both remind me of the morning, the gethunk one is my favorite, I like its progression. In music making I'm terrible at progression and keeping a chorus and things. It's all over the joint. Regardless, I quite like these pieces. Your first upload was also very good! :) If you are from Indonesia, I can definitely feel your culture in this music. :) Mountain climber yeah! :D hehe xD

Thanks!

Gethuk is one of my favorite traditional songs.

It's happy and there's a unique richness in it. I'm glad you like it too!  ^_^

About progression, you can learn much from Dragon Quest 8 music.

I think the game has the most lively soundtracks ever made, with wide range of emotions.  :)

Great work you have here, I definitely get the feeling you describe from the rhythm and melody of the songs.

Yay! Thank you for your kind words!  :D

Thank you!

Yeah, I love jazz in general.

The first song was made through recording (that's why there's some hissing noise).

Drums parts were digital, though.

The others were full digital, and I gave them an equalizer and reverb effects. (to make them kinda "breezy")  ^_^

my dad was a big fan of jazz, and that's how it fills my childhood.

I see ... wait. don't tell me you record it with phone cell?

I don't know how to use equalizer and reverb thing in FL.. I realize without them, song will sounds like midi.

No, I recorded it with a built in laptop mic.  :D

What version of FL do you use? I'm using FL9.

The mixer can be opened by pressing F9 (though usually I click the mixer icon, but F9 will also work).

If you're curious on how to use FL, feel free to PM me and I'll tell what I know. ^^

Hi! Another update!

This time I post a more RPG-ish song.

I'll skip most of my newer songs since most of them were made for my own project. xD

So let's just listen to my newest song, Sapphire Ocean^_^

Description:

As the sun showed his sleepy eyes, the fishermen were ready to set sail.

A child sees beyond the horizon, longing for adventure.

A women waited patiently, hoping her loved one will came back safely from the battlefield.

For a moment, an old man remembered a glimpse of his younger days.

In the depth of the ocean lies people's dreams, hopes and treasured memories.
