Ryan Entertainment

This is our first project about an Action-RPG game and the second project created by RPG Maker VX Ace. Despite of lacking experience, we have tried our best to make this, to test our skills and to enjoy our passion in game development. Your supports are the motivation for us to keep on working and providing a good quality game. Thank you so much for paying attention.

2. The Story

Yggdrasil, an immense tree that in connection to which the nine worlds exist, and Cindrivia is one of them.

Hundreds of years ago, the most fearful ancient Order named The lluminati planned to drive the world of Cindrivia into extinction with the guide of Grand Master Lucifer. He was trying to erase all the human beings and fed his Darkness Legions their souls. Aware of this, an opposite Order standing for justice - The Holy Alliance - was formed by six brave warriors to stop Lucifer and The Illuminati from destroying the world. With the help of nine Goddesses, The Holy Alliance had thrown Lucifer and The Illuminati into the eternal darkness before his planned was executed, and the world of Cindrivia found peace again for a while.

Nowadays, The Illuminati has been secretly revived by a mysterious Dark Wizard named Ryan The Illuminator to continue the unfinished plan of Lucifer. The existence of Cindrivia and even The Yggdrasil is now in danger one more time...

You are Lucas, a treasure hunter whose father murdered by Ryan The Illuminator, together with his friends: Aiko, Emily, Raphael, Chris and Ethan fighting against The Illuminati to destroy Ryan's evil plan and save the world of Cindrivia.

4. Special Game Systems

- Active Time Battle System (ATB System): Players and monsters' actions are depended on this system to be performed during a battle. Just be patient and wait for your turns  :P

- Custom Stats: There are four stats that you can distribute by yourself to build your characters. They are Vitality, Strength, Dextirity and Mentality and they directly affect other parameters of your characters like MHP, MMP, ATK, DEF, MAT, MDF, AGI, LUK or even Ex and Sp-Parameters.

- Difficulty System: We provide 5 different difficulties for you to play with increase in enemies' stats for each one.

- Multiple Parties: Sometimes you have to divide your party into two smaller ones in order to complete some certain quests at the same time. Each party has its own leader and members with a shared inventory and currency.

- Teleport System: Tired of walking manually from towns to towns? Don't worry! The Teleport System is here to help you! Choose your destination and we are ready to go!

- Quest & Achievement System: Quests? Of course! As an RPG, the quests are divided into two types called main quests and side quests. Completing the main quests provide you a full understanding about story of the game while the side ones and achievements provide you handsome rewards to make your journey much easier.

- Day & Night Circle + Light Effect System: We do provide a day-night circle which can affect some of your actions in game and also an awesome light effect system created by Khas to enhance the visual effects of the game.

- Enemy Level and Class: Enemies have their own levels and classes with certain pros and cons, just like your characters!

- Crafting and Enhancing Equipments: Defeating the monsters, collecting the materials from them to craft some unique equipments. The equipments can also be enhanced (+1, +2, etc) to provide more power.

- Class Changing System: You can change your characters' classes into other ones when they reach the required levels. This will provide them a better bonus to their parameters and some more new skills.

- Puzzle System: This is a small part of the game but sometimes you have to solve some puzzles in order to keep moving forward.

- Minigames and Extras: There is a minigame called "Melodia" created by Moghunter. If you are tired of fighting monsters, you can find this to ease your mind by listening to the provided music and tapping your buttons along with the melodies. And about The Extras, unfortunately there is only one called "Music Room" (also created by Moghunter). Everytime you hear a new song (from battles, new maps, Melodia, etc), they are stored in this room and you can listen to them again anytime.

The number of systems might increase during the development.

I really interested in day/night features and class changing.

I was just wondering if you got inspiration from online games?

I really interested in day/night features and class changing.

I was just wondering if you got inspiration from online games?

Thank you for your interest :) And as you said, i got the inspiration from both online and offline games. I find it bored when playing with only one class + certain number of skills for an actor. That's why i decided to implement the class changing system into my game  :P

New demo is available. Critical bugs fixed. Please keep in mind that some monsters or bosses might have no skills or no drops because they are under-developed. Changing class is not available yet. Demo ends after fighting Julia in Cindalia Throne Room.

I made a stream of your game, mentioned here.

There are definitely some things that need to be worked on:

-- Not only is the text difficult to understand because of the poor broken English, the plot is hard to understand as well because it's just so all over the place and can be misinterpreted and misconstrued in a variety of ways.

-- Tone down the profanity. It makes the writing look immature and childish, and there are better words to use in those types of situations.

--The combat is flashy, but practically boring, and often times abysmally unbalanced. The TP mechanic in RPG Maker is a bad mechanic, I will agree, however, the concept of having to TP farm in a game where the Ult skills eventually aren't even worth it makes the TP function a bit pointless in retrospect. The combat with regular enemies  are almost devoid of strategy, simply mashing the Attack Button like so many other RPG Maker games.

--The game felt a tad too easy. There's no real challenge to the game.

Bearing in mind, this is only the first three hours I played of the game. I will be continuing this sometime in the future, possibly this weekend, but as for right now, I hope these criticisms and critiques get looked into. Especially the balancing of Ult skills and the TP system.

Thank you so much for your concern, ~Arin~. I have received your feedbacks and i am really sorry for the bad experience you have had.

- For the first and second feedbacks: English is not my first language so i am aware of poor, misunderstanding or even wrong contexts. It is bad that there is no one who is an English expert in my team so i have to deal with the context all myself. Really sorry for this but i will try to improve its quality as much as possible.

- For the third: My partner has put a lot of time to think and make tons of animations to serve the skills to make them look flashy as you said, and i'm really grateful that you like it. However, i have not been aware of the TP system since this is our first time to make an RPG so it might be too late to change its mechanics now. And i am also trying to think a way to make combat become more strategic.

- For the fourth and also the last: I cannot decide which is easy and hard for some certain players, and currently the only way to change the difficulty is to increase the stats of enemies. However, if you think it is easy, you may want to try Deathwish mode for some more challenges  :giggle:

- This is by my own: The tutorials in Demo are just the temporary ones (for my friends to test it). I'm sure it will be a lot better when the game is finished. And using the sample maps was one of my bad decisions (but they are not actually bad in my aspect) so there are only first few maps. The rest is manually built by myself.

Once again, thank you for spending time playing and reviewing the demo. This is just a small demo so it is still lack of many features that we have not implemented. And we are sorry for the bad experience that the game caused. As a team of only two, we will need a lot of time to improve the whole contents of the game.

P/s: If you have not continued the game, please stop immediately because we have found a critical bug in drop rate (and some weird bugs) that might not allow you to craft some certain equipments or even prevent you from continuing the main story. We will consider to upload a new demo in the future.

And a few words about your streaming video: It is not actually nice to set the title like that, but i don't dislike it because it is yours  :giggle:
