What a sly bastard?

So I am working on some Characters for a game I am going to make, and I am somewhat satisfied with this one.
The working title for him is " Sly bastard" , his Character is a bit similar to Bleaches Gin.
He is basically sly, a bit sadistic , likes to meddle is other people affairs, plays dirty etc. He is however a ally of the main character, who is a bit naive so I think that chancels it out a bit.
He is the most adult one of the group, and a friend of the main character's older brother and he watches over the main character for him.
 
I'd like to know if the character matches that description, and If you have any suggestion or feedback ^^.
 
Also, do you think I should go with freckels or without?

It's a good face, pretty well done, but his appearance doesn't come off as sly, sadistic, etc. or anything to me. Like this he reminds me of Leeron from Gurren Lagann.

 

I'd say try to put more shadow around his eyes, particularly to make his cheek bones more dominant, which will make his eyes look more sunken in, making him look more skeevy. Also, the hair might be a bit bright, you could try a darker shade for the hair.

But for the faces, I like them. xP I can't be a judge though, 'cuz I know nothing about art. The green hair also kinda gives more of an elfish feel to the face.

Right, I can tell it was a rough edit to get the point across. Yes, that makes him look a bit more mischievous. I'd be a little worried he'd pick my pocket if I didn't know him, now. You don't have to go quite that dark on the hair, if you don't want to, but it looks fine. I know that he's not exactly evil, and is one of your game's heroes, but I feel this still applies - Villainous Cheekbones. That's where my suggestion came from, btw. He definitely looks more sly now with his cheekbones being more angular.

He could also use some steeper/sharply angled eyebrows. Giving them a slightly evil-style angle can really change a face! (I swear, eyebrows do amazing things....) 

 

It looks like you're going for a more eyes-closed guy, but I would also suggest (but this is really just a personal thing since I'm more comfortable with it) to let his eyes be open, but only a little, if that makes sense? Almost like his eyes are half-closed and he's looking out of them under his eyelids. Not only is that a generally popular thing to do for guys in manga-style art, but it just fits the kinda suspicious characterisation.

If you tilt your head so that you're looking at him straight-on, you'll notice his right (our left) eyebrow has a steep little angle to it while his left (our right) eyebrow is generally kinda straight. Also a great example of the eyes thing!

 

Give him a little smirk and it's just amazing.

I think part of the slyness comes from their sideways glance and the fact that their heads are always at a weird angle--usually chin tilted up, so they're kind of "looking down" on you, like they know something you don't. How suspicious! XD

 

I know this was a bit overloady for a post, but I just hope maybe some of these things you'll be willing to try or at least learn a bit from them Good luck!

So I tried my best and made a new image and tried to include your suggestions. I did keep the light hair colour but I think he looks alot slyer then before
