Mysticphoenix 8 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Can a game have more than one type of logo? One for a title screen, and one for popping up after a game introduction cutscene. example : Assuming the game's name is "Magic" Here is the first logo. This one is for the title screen. And there is... This one shows up after the game intro. Does this considered inconsistent? Should I use the same logo for these two situation? Lord Vectra 414 Posted October 17, 2015 I kind of want to say yes. You always want everything to be consistent so it doesn't look crazy. For example, let's "magic" was a sequel and used roman numerals. Magic I Magic II Magic III Look at that, then look at this: Magic I Magic II Magic 3 Magic 4 Magic V See what I mean?

Yeah, that'd be stupid. ... Absolutely... utterly... completely... stupid. Dumb. ANYWAYS. You probably do want to stick with just one title, for the sake of consistency in your branding. It could look kinda shoddy otherwise.
+ Takeo212 1,079 Posted October 17, 2015 It would depend. If you have like a credits like introduction thing going on, then you might be able to use the black background one. The image one is the overall logo/design, but there are a few games that during introductions or credits have a simple text of their game/production. As long as it isn't over used though. If you use both of them alot, then it might be inconsistent.
xoferew 261 Posted October 17, 2015 Your first one looks like a logo and your second one looks basically like a regular font, enlarged. (Even if it's not your actual game font, it says to me "emphasized text" rather than "logo." So I think it's fine. Otherwise I think different logos should at least be related. (Say, one is text with picture, one is only text.)
Mysticphoenix 8 Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) Well... It was meant to be just a plain text. Because I think it would look weird if I show a colorful logo with that plain black background (with no music). Assuming the introduction cut scene is two mages fighting violently, then a very dramatic event happens. The screen is faded black quickly, and leave everything in silence. Then show a logo. Then Then start the game. I'll try putting the first logo there and let my friends decide which version is better! Thank you a lot for your sugguestion!
