Is It Possible To Add Custom Stuff In Character Gen?

Recommended Posts

I could be wrong, but I'm sure I read that it would be "easy to add custom stuff yourself".

Is that confirmed?

I've tried transfering some stuff between the folders for male and female to try vary it up, but it isn't processing into the actual generator.

Has anyone found a way to do this or such?

I'm also sad there isn't a Steam Workshop for MV (yet?), but I know the software was only just released so I'm not to bothered right now.

I'm asking because it's tedious to have to constantly edit every sprite the same detail and such, and would like to make it a gen part instead.

Is this possible, and if so, has anyone found out how yet?

you can change it, but its not the as simple as just adding a file to the gen folders. you have to keep the naming convention the same or else the generator will not recognize it. on the forums of the official rpg maker website there are some ppl that have already made some resources to use with generator. back up your gen folder and load those resources in to expand your generator options.

as for the naming convention i only get the gist of it, i haven't been able to figure out how it all works

Yea, I noticed they were all separated piece by piece. Plus, the folders themselves are a little confusing.

Thank you though, I'll have a look on their site. It's more just wanting to try and "share" some stuff between the folders for now, like the hats for both genders, but for now I just want to understand how it works.

The names are quite weird so hopefully that becomes more understand so adding content isn't as difficult...
