I think the resources for VX and VX ACE are the same, give or take a couple extra resources. I think ACE is mostly a slightly upgraded and has a few more features included (I couldn't tell you what exactly as I haven't touched ACE is a long time). I think it's more updated to make RUBY scripting a bit better though. As far as I'm aware though, there essentially the same program with the same assets.

I was the same. I like the details of the ACE sprites, but overall they blended in to much and looked rather eh. Ulrica and Alice were my two favorites from that software though just 'cause they looked different. Actor1-2 was also a likeable, but I always ended up recolouring her hair~

XP is still my favorite for resources. I bought ACE first so never used XP but I do use it for monster sprites and tiles.

Ah, sorry Amy. Didn't mean to respond op-topic.

On that note; I was looking at your "paper" icons and was wondering if you had any plans of "scroll" type items? Your curled paper looks like something I'd use but was wondering if you could make a rolled up version of it? Of course, in your own free time and no worries if not. Just seemed like it was missing some closed variations to match.

@Amysaurus, dear, This is your thread; ultimately, going off-topic is up to you to allow/disallow.

At any rate, I agree with @Takeo212 here on the scrolls/various versions of the paper icons; I'm sure it was something you had planned but yeah, all in all it does seem to be proper fare.

Well, back to my own stuffs and cheering you on. Go get 'em! lol

@Takeo212 It's all good ^^ I just didn't want to veer into the point of no return, lmao. And sure, I could make some rolled up versions sometime.

@PhoenixSoul Thanks, but umm.. no, I didn't have plans to make those originally lol.  Not sure where you got that idea.

Been kinda busy getting started with this semester, but here's 1-7:

Umm, out of curiousity, have you ever considered doing a "speedpixel" of one of your sprites? Your making them so fast and with accuracy and detail, so was wondering if you would consider making a "speedpaint" of you making one? I would even ask for a livestream of it, but I always miss those...

Of course, it's up to you, but I was just curious about how you work was all~

Really like the subtle scarring on the eye and eyebrow!

I've thought about it before - I may see about putting one together when I have a free day. I have to take a lot of breaks for classes and whatnot, so a weekend might be a good time for it. :)

Here's the finished Actor 1 sheet:

Hey guys! It's been like a year now (yeesh!), but I went back and updated the main post.

Here's what's new:

- I made MV versions of the RMVX cover characters:

Nice! You haven't lost your touch, mon cherie.

Speaking of your project, how's that coming along, and how are you doing?

(I'm no longer affiliated with Twitter due to their consistent and rampant abusive behavior for no reason - I am on Gab.ai though)

I suppose you're doing well then, and I hope to see more of your project in the nearer future.

I hope you never lose your touch; you're one of the best pixel artists I know!
