Hey guys, I recently made a pixel art, a monster named Jawstal, and I would like to see your opinion about it!
I know Jawstal is very strange, but I had to think a lot to imagine how would I make it xD
His eye is supposed to be in the middle of his head, over his mouth.

Let me know your opinion and what should I improve.
If you want to use it, you don't even have to credit me.

He's so small. It's hard to tell much detail.

His eye is supposed to be in the middle of his head, over his mouth.

That's nice and all, but I can't fully tell what's his head or mouth xD

To me, he looks like;

A kinda lizard with 2 arms and a small belly/body like bit underneath him with a mouth on it.

The little teal/cyan bit ontop of it's head(?) look like flames, and the bit on it's front looks like a little nose with 2 pincers sticking out.

I'm not sure if he's supposed to look like that, but he looks pretty cool to me.

The subtle shading looks nice, and the colours and colourful, and blend well together.

I don't draw in pixels since I suck at pixel art, but otherwise, he looks pretty cool :P

Is he intended to be an SV or an FV battler?

I know he's small, I did it small because it's been a lot since I do any pixel art, and I wanted to start again with something small.

It's not suppossed to look like that, xD. The thing he has above his head is an opaque crystal, that's why hes named jaw"stal" xD. Behind his head he had a small torso but you can't see much of it because it's behind it, which connects to it's two arms. Then behind the torso he has the tail, which is long. The pincers that you talked about are between the mouth, and he has no nose.

He could be used both for SV and FV battler, but still, if you want to use it, you should cut the image as it has the palette on it.

Thanks a lot for your commentary, i'll try to make next drawing a little more structured to make it look a little bit more understandable.

Very cool concept!  Darkening the shaded area in the mouth might make that area a bit easier to read, though I'm sure animation would help quite a bit-I imagine even an idle would look real neat, with the jaw opening and closing a bit as he bobs up and down, the tail swaying and the light glinting off the crystals.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot! I'm doing a big project, and I have been improving a lot meanwhile I was doing it! Next drawings will be a lot better!

Good job on your pixel monster! (I can't even make my own slime monster. lol)  :D

But i agree with previous post, A little darker shade will bring out the details.

Keep up the good work!  :thumbup3:
