[Not RPGMaker] Animation test

Recommended Posts

Hey, today I was pretty bored and I decided to do a test animation, it is a slashing knight.
It could look better, but I didn't apply shadows to it because it was too much work. It has 24 frames I think.

I could kinda see an entire style like this, but yeah, without any shading or additional colors, its pretty flat and simple. Animation is nice and smooth though, a lot more than most sprite games.

Thanks for your answer! I guess that this animation is nice to be just the first one I made. I'm pretty sure I'll get better at this, so I'll spend much more time on it.

I agree with Chaosian.

Even without shading and stuff like this it looks pretty nice and could work in a retro-looking game, that I'd love to see. Adding that shading would make it really great though.

Either way, I like the style and the smoothness of your animation.

Nice work! He seems well practised now, ready for an opponent :)

Keep it up!

Thanks! I've been improving a lot, so if I do another animation, it will be much better! I'll spend a lot of time doing it!
