Hi there! I grew up on RPG games like Final Fantasy, chrono trigger, and a lot of the 'going from D&D to video game' stuff. That means Baulder's Gate, Champions of Norrath, and so on. As a fledgling Developer, I hope to be able to capture the depth of character that each character in those legendary titles accomplished. I love reading Stephen King, and one thing that I always loved about his books is how much emphasis was placed on the links between people, how people interacted, and how even the smallest act can change the course of the entire world. You don't have to be perfect, or noble, or even GOOD, to be the hero of a story. In fact, yours doesn't even have to be the most interesting story in there. It just has to be the one the writer chose to follow.

I have high hopes and lofty aspirations, and even though my vision is often more grand than my abilities can make real, I want to try. And I hope that I can achieve my vision of an amazing game, right alongside everyone else with the same goal.

You seem pretty cool! Hope we can get to know each other~ Good luck with developing!

It sure is, Champions of Norrath: Realms of Everquest, and the sequel, Champions: Return to Arms. They're based in the Everquest Universe, and made by Snowblind, who also did a revamp of Baulder's gate, I think. It's all PS2 stuff.

Anyway, thanks to both of you for the welcome!

Hello!

Yup, yup, PS2 stuff. ^^ I enjoyed playing Champions of Norrath and Baldur's Gate with my brother. I still remember how much fun I had with these, even if they were bugged/poorly balanced! =3

Welcome to the herd! (=

Lol, I had never heard of "Champions of Norath", but I do have Baldur's Gate for the GameCube. A lot of maps in it are so dark they are almost impossible to see on though.

Welcome to the forums!  I can relate to the feeling of your goal being larger than what your abilities can provide, so I wish you the best of luck!  Just remember that you can create because you want to, not the other way around.  ^_^
